how did you transfer the patched file? did you use wii backup manager? cause that happened to me. i use that to transfer the file. i chose iso for the file output, then converted mine back to wbfs then transfer it to my hard drive.

did you use wii backup manager? and what output did you choose during the patching process? on my first try, i chose wbfs so wouldnt have the need to convert it. that didnt work. my usb loaders didn't recognize/see the file.

so on my second try, i chose iso for the output, then converted it back to wbfs. then i transfered that to my hard drive using wii backup manager. worked wonders for me.

If have looked into your new script. So I have a little notice about the coming wit:
wit DOLPATCH will accept the parameters:

new=text, addr, size: create a new text section (first free) at virtual address 'addr' with 'size'

new=data,addr,size: same for data

new=text, auto | new=data, auto: if a patch address is outside of all other sections, create a new section automatically. Its dedicated for loader.bin.

Are there any suggestions for more sub-commands?

Newer is around 800mb in size in wbfs format.

The others idk, but im sure similar mods from the newer team are less then that simply because Newer has way more custom in it.

For some reason, while I can get Newer and Another to work, Summer Sun won't go past the Wiimote screen.

Based on the OP, I can patch Newer using my .wbfs file of NSMBW, correct? In other words, do I have to convert my .wbfs file to ISO before patching or not? Thanks.

Neat program. It's a shame you'll be attacked and shamed for making it by the Riivolution team and NEWER.

Neat post. It's a shame you jumped to a conclusion without any evidence. Have you seen any of the Riivolution or Newer team members attacking and shaming people here? Me neither...

(fwiw, since it looks like you missed it in the other threads, I actually gave out quite a lot of info on how to get pirated Newer to work. I happen to be part of the team, and the lead programmer. Not quite the "attacking and shaming" you make it out to be. But it was a nice opportunity to spread some FUD, right? :glare:)

edit: Thought you guys might like to know... We've just released Newer 1.01. No changes to the patcher are necessary, as no new files or XML memory patches have been added.

If you've already downloaded the full game, there's a 11mb patch download available on the site which you can paste over your existing copy of the pack. Use DMM's patcher to reapply it.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

i dont have an sd card adapter but I have an usb sd card adapter

It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    nvm it does support mine
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
but why choose it over ysmenu @Psionic Roshambo?
