Hacking Noob question softmodded Wii 4.0E - how to update?

I have a Wii which was softmodded by a friend of mine who cant help out at the moment with my current problem. I have 2 games that wont start because the need a system update to be done first. Those games are WiiFIT plus (with the board) and Guitar Hero 5 (incl. Guitar).

I'm worried if I just perform the update that my usbloader will stop working, or worse my Wii get bricked. I've been looking for a guide of somesort but the site that was used for softmodding in the first place (I think it was Wii-media?) doesnt exist anymore.

My Wii is on version 4.0E

Applications on my SD card:

USB Loader WiiShizzza, 1.1 MOD V4, Fixes V4 by Narolez
Cios Rev10 Installer
IOS Downgrader v1
WAD Manager v1.4

Been looking through the sticky subjects but to be honest I dont have a clue yet, I'm what you call a Wii noob. Who can give me some pointers what to?

Run them through neogamma R8 latest beta. There's a thread with the download somewhere on this site. Search for it.
