Possibly the best place I may have found to ask this question...
I just got the newest USB Loader GX (r1262) installed and I'm looking to use themes. I found out, http://wii.spiffy360.com/ is the website that hosts the themes and now requires an account to download them.
I sign up and get the verification email sent. I confirm it and it brings me back to the site saying "Sorry, we could not find your account."

What??

So I'm stuck here, in limbo, allowed to make an account, but for some reason cannot finish verifying it.

Wondering if anyone else experience this and/or knows what to do or what's happening.

I think @deakphreak has something to do with Spiffy360 so maybe he might be able to help.

Well, my noob question is regarding Nintendo game updates/patches..

I have been able to use WiiUSBHelper to move games to a hard drive on my Wii U . I also have used Disc2App to move my discs to the hard drive. I even purchased a couple of retail only discs which has led to my question. These retail only discs have patches and DLC but I do not know how to get them.

Am I able to just pull the SD Disc, and remove the updated IPs to get in to eShop and download individually or will I brick it? I use the Autoboot Haxchii thing too.

This forum is for Wiis, not Wii U. You might get a better response posting in that section.

I have fairly strict checking to help with spam / bots on the site. If you don't register and activate from the same computer / IP then it will fail verification. It sounds like your account is not being created though due to that response back. I will check the database.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Database is fine and I did a test register and it went through fine. What is the username you are trying to use? Perhaps the database does not like it and therefore not creating it.

So this weekend, I am going to mod my friends wii (I am not a noob at general modding/technical knowledge, I am a pretty decent 3DS Modder with good knowledge) but I have never been in the wii scene so I just know some basics, so I haven't been able to look at said wii yet, but what I know, is that it has the homebrew channel installed, so it should obviously be on a vulnerable firmware, so is the any "coldboot + sig patcher (aka cfw) - combo" well I am pretty sure this relays on emunand, cause afaik there is no pre-boot exploit? Idk I'd just like to have some links or instructions to simply get the max out of that wii. thanks.

I have an American Wii on which I have region modded the video setting to PAL with AnyRegionChanger to be able to use the SCART cable. Is it possible to change the default video setting to make every game run at PAL60 without changing the entire consoles region to change one option? I have read about the settings.txt file being the answer here, but I haven't been able to find an editor nor a PAL file with the settings enabled. My current workaround is launching my games through a backup loader and forcing the resolution, but I would rather just be able to pop my games in and launch it.

You seem to have the Wii and the Wii U mixed up. For the Wii just check out the links in the OP. For the Wii U check out the appropriate forum. AFAIK Wii hacking never bothered with emuNAND, instead directly messing with the system. Early Wii's have a vulnerable bootloader where BootMii can be installed, but an all Wii's Priiloader which runs before system menu allowing for recovery. Again, for the Wii look at the first post in the thread for helpful links.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I can't seem to install that I just noticed the homebrew browser won't update and keeps erroring and reverting back to the previous version and not downloading anything either says failed creating folder

The Homebrew Browser apparently needs to be reconfigured to use the backup server. Just download sysCheck from the Wiibrew Wiki and extract the folder to the apps folder on your SD card.

Theres an IOS 236 Install folder, which its an APP, however you already have ios 236, not suire if thats the last revision, you should tru to update it.

Yeah I figured it was an app but it didn't seem to give me it, the only thing in the apps folder from the modmii is MMM.

also just went into MMM and it's just showing 8 to be installed and not 20 like the modmii said and is in the folder
