"Start rescue-menu when Y is held on 1st GC controller "

...could it mean you enable the menu by holding down the Y button while the menu is booting?
It means you can boot into SaveMiiFrii by holding Y instead of the 4 D-pad directions

QUOTE(MFDC12 @ Apr 30 2010, 03:04 PM) does the cmios improve the comparability or is it the actual launcher?
Probably a combination of both

Okay, I have installed PriiLoader, and I have the hacks. ini text file on the root of my SD. However, when I open System Menu hacks, it says it can find hacks on the FAT or NAND. What do I do?

Just install IOS70 and System Menu 4.2 wads from NUS Downloader. You don't need to remod at all, that's only required if you do an official update. If you want Shop Channel, also install IOS61 and the latest shop channel

Hi. I was reading your comment and just wondered how exactly to "install" the latest shop channel. Is it a .wad?

QUOTE(FenrirWolf @ Mar 25 2010, 09:39 PM) Red Steel, like all other games, only requires that the IOS it calls for is up to date. I don't know which IOS that would be, but the point is irrelevant if you're using a cIOS-based disc/USB loader anyway, as far as I can tell.

And as long as you've got the newest HBC (1.0.6) it will survive the update to 4.2. IOS249 (cIOS) will be overwritten by a stub upon updating, but the backup IOS250 will not. So after updating use an ATD or something that can run from IOS250 to delete the stubs, then run the cIOSrev19 installer from IOS250. That ought to do the trick.

Thanks for the help FenrirWolf! I haven't updated to 4.2. yet, but I probably will soon.

I installed cIOSXrev19 with waninkoko's installer and now USB Loader GX won't detect my external hard drive. I've tried both USB ports just in case. I thought GX works fine with the new cIOS...

Have you updated your USB Loader GX? You need a version which supports cIOSx rev19. Try r921.

hey guys quick question. Im planning to send my wii in for repair due to GPU artifacts and what not, but im a bit hesitent to do so mainly because of what i recently heard. Apparently Nintendo has developed this new software that they run on ur wii before repairs to see if there is any illegitimate software. Now my biggest worry is deleting fakesigned files, tickets and so forth, and apparently priiloader still leaves some leftover files even after uninstallation. So my question is this how am i to remove all of this. i already have the guide to virginizing my wii, and im fine with that, but what additional steps am i to do to get rid of the other stuff.

I think I made an error while softmodding my Wii but I can't find my error or an easy way to fix it.
When I try using Configurable USB Loader I get the following error. I'm not sure but I hope there is a (quick) easy solution to fix this problem:

ERROR: CIOS222 or CIOS223 required for starting games from a FAT partition

set_frag: -128
ERROR: SetWBFS: -128

Sounds like you don't have a cIOS installed.. Follow this guide for waninkoko's cIOS 249 and 250 http://sites.google.com/site/completesg/cios/waninkoko and this guide for hermes cIOS 202 222 and 223 http://sites.google.com/site/completesg/cios/hermes-cios If they don't install then you probably haven't even softmodded your wii yet.

I can't install any .wad file at all.

At first I thought it was just IOS70-64-v6687.wad, but I tried a different .wad files and notice I get the same error.

"Installing title... ERROR! (ret = -1035)"

Solutions?

There was a NAND Cleaner that deletes any trace and fingerprints of software like priiloader and "ATD", I just can't remember where I got it from...!!

I think you lack of an IOS with sign-check dissabled, like a cIOS, you need to run TBR and install a cIOS...!!

NOOO!!!!!!!!!!! hahaha. darn thx though now i can get looking. anyone else have a link to the Nand Cleaner and how to use it?

Okay I have a new wii. It's already on 4.2E I installed HBC via Bannerbomb and Bootmii as IOS.
I got a nand back up.
What is the next step for getting USB back up loader?
I think it's Trucha bug restorer but all those talk about IOS versions at Trucha Bug MOD thread confused me.
So basically, what now?

I have a 3.3K vision wii
have rev19 installed and generaly use neogama for playing my backups.

My problem is that up untill today I had been playing all my backups on my 22" monitor which had AV input ports.
I just bought a 42" LG Plasma, and now all the PAL games that I have backed up show up black and white with weird lines all over...
I had thought that since this TV is new it would support both NTSC and PAL, (I'm pretty sure they also sell this model in the UK)

Also I have tried most if not all the options in neogama rev17~18 and when I force NTSC many of the PAL games go to black or green screen.
I have also looked through all the TVs options and there doesn't seem to be anywhere I can manually change it to 50HZ.

Do you guys think it might possibly help to use a component cable instead? (grasping at straws..)

Look forward to hearing what solutions you guys come up with^^

Quick question. before i run NandClean how do i uninstall the priiloader or is the priiloader installed on the Nand?

at this part of the virginizing guide it says
If you have cIOSCORP/DARKCORP -> Run the DARKCORP uninstaller (it can be found in the same pack as DARKCORP)

2) If you don't have cIOSCORP/DARKCORP, you will need to do a complete update. You can find the instructions to do this here.
There are however 4 small differences:

* Allow the NUS Auto downloader to download stubs, and of course install them.
* Skip step 6 completely (so do not move the wads)
* In step 7, also install the IOS and System menu.
* Skip step 8 as well (yay thats the longest step

)

i have both priiloader and Darkcorp installed so do i uninstall darkcorp then update through official update then run Nandclean?

Have you updated your USB Loader GX? You need a version which supports cIOSx rev19. Try r921.

Thanks for the tip, that helped! Strangely, the most recent version (r929) of USB Loader GX didn't work, but r921 works.

However, there are no longer any disk images, which is a pity. When I click on the 3D box art it loads the game straight away, without showing the disk image.

Do you know what version of USB Loader GX supports cIOSX rev19 with full functionality at the moment? I'd like to have box and disk art.

Thanks for the help.

Get the component cables. I use them with my older TV and have not had to patch the video mode.
