i can't for the life of me get usb loader gx working-- the games i have except for the game i have in the physical disc slot boot to the homebrew channel. i'm all outta ideas, and ive already tried reinstalling my cios. anything i can do?

On my vWii I had no luck getting my little 2.5 HD drive to work -- bought a split USB powered cable, still no joy. I had to get an external powered enclosure and it worked perfectly.

Unfortunately there is not a way to play backup GC games on the Wii yet, without a mod chip.

If you have a powerful PC with a processor that supports SSE2, you may want to look into the Dolphin emulator for your PC however, that thing is pretty cool

(GO NOOBS!! First question answered!!!)

I think you can install them with save manager gx. here's the one I grabbed off my wii and put it on the virtual wii:

looks like I also have it on the wii sd card:

So I know theres a Wii homebrew that can modify GBA save files across a GC/GBA Link Cable, curious if anyone ever had success doing something similar to inject a GBA ROM into the GBA instead?

It is possible to upload software to a GBA, like this one:
https://github.com/FIX94/gba-link-cable-dumper
It does the opposite: Dumping the ROM from a GBA cart

According to GBA [Wikipedia] there is
Wikipedia said:
Memory: 32 kilobyte + 96 kilobyte VRAM (internal to CPU); 256 kilobyte DRAM (external to CPU)
No way of using a big game this way. That doesn't mean there are no possibilities: Some games allowed using limited multiplayer functions with just one cartridge for multiple GBA, even Mario Kart (limited to one driver on the guest systems and one track if I remember that correctly) can be run with one game and four consoles.

I know of no other software using the method of uploading software Wii → GBA (of course this doesn't mean there is none).

Good luck and have fun!

I bought a second hand wii and I was trying to hack it. Str2hax, letterbomb, and flashhax method all unusable. The old bannerbomb method works, but now I can't install priiloader. Seems like the wii was previously hacked using an old method and I first need to delete that old hack to install priiloader. How to delete the old hack?

Use Modmii's syscheck updater wizard, it will sort you out.

Cheers

Doesn't work, I still can't install priiloader. Modmii told me to use YAWMM to install 25 items. All 25 of them installed successfully. But when I try to run priiloader, it gave me a black screen with only one sentence 'Press A to exit back to loader...'

I run another syscheck, a lot of slots with Trucha Bug is now gone and is replaced with 'no patches'.
Is it possible that hermes and d2x-cIOS is conflicted? I read somewhere that you don't need hermes if you have d2x-cIOS.
Can I delete all 4 slots that contain hermes? (IOS202, IOS222, IOS223, IOS224). Will that maybe solve my problem?

I'm not sure if this will have an impact on the priiloader installer, but it's the only thing I can think of...

According to your syscheck, your 4.1U system menu version is v54449, but it should be v449.

Go to modmii classic's download pages and download and install the System menu wad for 4.1U, 4.2U or 4.3U. You already have system menu IOSs installed for these (ios60, 70 and 80, respectively).

After installing an unmodified system menu version, try the priiloader installer again

The only other thing it could be is that you're for some reason missing priiloader's meta.xml from its app folder.

This has nothing to do with any left over cios's

I still can't install priiloader, same black screen and sentence appear. However, I'm not sure if I do everything right.
So I run modmii, go to 'download page 1', and download 4.1U SM, 4.2U SM, 4.3U SM. Then I install them on my wii using YAWMM.

After installation, it says '3 titles succeded and 0 failed',
but it also says:
I won't install the wrong regions SM
ERROR! (ret = 0)

I included a screenshot for more information.

I checked my priiloader's folder, and it has meta.xml file inside.
When I run syscheck the version is still v54449

U can only install 1 system menu at a time, you shouldn't be trying to install 3. You should install 4.1U, OR 4.2U OR 4.3U.

Also, according to your screenshot at least 1 wad did not install correctly due to region mismatch. This is odd, you should try Modmii's region change guide to "change" to 4.xU. I can't tell for certain but it seems like your console is partially region changed, especially for yawmm to be delivering that mismatch message
