I think I've missed a lot in the Wii Scene...

I have a couple of questions:

1.

If so, Nintendo did impress me... I never thought it even was Possible on the Wii...

It is possible to make a Multi game disc Image(.ISO) with Wii scrubber 1.4 right?
We need a special application to boot the Multi game disc Image(.ISO) ?

Yupp that sounds great.

But wait is MiiWii a PAL only release or will a NTSC system do the job as well?

Well the only things you need to do is:

Install HBC
Downgrade to 3.2 using ARC (NO to korean support, YES to hacks)
Dump your NAND files system
Install CIOScorp
Install Preloader

Another question regarding playing Sonic and the Black Knight:
I'm on PAL Wii with firmware 3.1E. To install Starfall, I need to be at 3.2E. How do I update from 3.1E to 3.2E, without causing any problems playing backups?

1) I know i can use an sdhc card on the homebrew channel to brows apps but will the apps and emulators run from the sdhc card or do they have to be written for the support?
Some apps have support for SDHC some not, you need to try them to verify this, or try reading info at wiibrew.org about each app an emulator

2) So if any emulator for the wii runs on sdhc cards does the rom browser work as well?
Depends on the emulator/app, the browser is part of it

3) What drivers/wads or whatever do i need to get my 2 gig usb drive to work so i can use it for storing roms/music/apps and so on.
Never used one so not sure, but I believe certain USB sticks aren't supported

4) Whats the limit to usb memory, 32gigs?
I read somewhere that 8GB was the limit

Ok, so I still have this semi-brick error that I cannot access the settings in the Wii so I cannot use Any Region Changer.
Also, the v289 system menu hack .wad files doesn't work

From what I can gather, my friend installed the homebrew channel on firmware 3.3U and may have messed up the region. Is there any fix at all for this or is his Wii dead?

You can acces to AnyRegionChanger, just not install the SysMenu3.2, but you can fix the console settings by matching the sysmenu it is installed then save and reboot and it should be fixed, if a .wad doesn't install and gives you error 1029, some say it is because of you having an old cIOS, so install r7 or r8 of waninkoko's, if that doesn't work, then try reformating the SD card and redownload the file (or copy it from your PC if still there) cause sometimes the SD card can get corrupted and that corrupts all the data in it..!!

You need to uninstall al the hacks from Starfall, then use AnyRegionChanger1.1b_mod5 to reinstall the SysMenu3.2, say NO to korean support and YES to starfall-kind hacks, that will enable the real region free, reinstall cIOS30.wad from CIOScorp package, reinstall preloader and disable all the region free hacks cause that can mess up the region free...!!!

If you have a ModChip I don't know why are you trying to install a cMIOS if you don't need it, and the only thing we know the cMIOS disables is the retail copies of GC games

Yes you need the new WiiScruber 1.40 and in the package comes the multiboot_launcher.dol to launch these multiboot.iso's

yes it is bricked, just install another theme and this time be sure it is PAL, I guess you have preloader installed, so just turn ON and hold the reset button till you see a menu, load HBC and load the softmii tweak tool, then install the PAL theme...!!!

is it a good idea to burn at 2X? I heard the slower you burn the less errors you get, so does that mean the slowest speed is ideal? Will I get any errors burning at 2x? What if I burned at 1X?

I always write at 1x-3x and nothing above, just to make sure there are NO ERRORS. Im pretty sure all dvds can support 1-3x.

I guess it just matters on the writer like u said.

Even better reason to set the speed in auto, and maybe you should update the firmware of your burner to be able to read DVD-R..!!

Well I read that some DVD's can't handle the writting below 8X, I can't be sure cause I didn't manufacturate the DVD, but I believe on what that source said, and for me I tryied to burn once at 4X and the game shutter a lot and sometimes it crashed, solved by burning at 16X, weird uhh..?? well anyway I used DVDinfoPro to check my burns, and discovered that the best burns was using ImgBurn setting the speed as AUTO cause the program will set depending on the procesor and the writter, and I could see then, that the writting went between 12X and 10X, if it starts to burn at 2X then I guess you really have a crappy PC and a shitty writter...!!!

I'm gonna guess that you have a black screen when you hit start cuase I don't know what your problem is, so, you need to change the Video Output with AnyRegionChanger to the region the game is, only if your TV supports both video signals (PAL or NTSC), is better to install preloader cause it can be a real life-saver, check the thread of preloader v0.28 for more info about it, and the only things you DON'T have to enable is the "region free" or GC related ones, the rest can be enabled if you want...!!!

Okay, Back once again for some help, thank you guys so much!

I have 3.2u with gamma loader and softchip loader, both aimed at ios 249. I want to solve my error 002 problem.

Is this as easy as installing teh cios 26 rev 7?
Do I need to unistall ios 249?
Do I need to install a whole new channel?
Can I remove the old Channel safely?

I obviously dont want to brick my wii. Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you guys for your time again and again and again, Im sure without you there would be thousands of noobs without softmodded wiis :-)

ok so today i deleted the ios38, 53, and 55 wads from my sd card thinking i didn't need them any more but apparently i do since i can no longer load any backup launcher whatsoever. i put them back in my card and installed them again but it still doesn't load.

I installed the rev8 installer again. still didn't load

I tried the cios installer. couldn't get past the press a to start or turn off system because when i press a nothing happens and i am forced to turn off my wii.

I have now formatted my sd card and put the downgrader files into it again even though i'm at 3.2u thinking this will hopefully fix it but i thought i'd ask here before i continue since i'm not getting replies from anywhere else i post on this site

I am thinking the any title deleter may help to resolve this issue but i don't know how i would do that and no one is helping me. the most help i got was someone telling me to reinstall the loaders like cios except i can't. it won't let me

@Fildy:

You want to install cIOS36_Rev8. This new cIOS resolves the 002 error. You do not need to unistall previous cIOS versions first; the installer for Rev8 will overwrite the old cIOS.

As an alternative you can install the updated gamma launcher with 002 fix, but with the new cIOS it isn't needed anymore.

You can uninstall your old launcher(s), but with the new cIOS you can just keep using them and the error goes away. Some folks have reported issues with the 002 fix gamma launcher, so if you go that route it's best to just leave the old launcher on your wii in case you need it.

The lowest risk method is to install the new cIOS36_Rev8, and use the HBC to launch either version of Gamma, or also Softchip for that matter. You can use different loaders without installing custom channels for them all.

Few Questions:

One) My Wii skips on a Legit, Brand new, unscratched Animal Crossing City Folk when moving around town, I'm sure that this is caused by my soft mod.

Two) Is there any way I can virginize my wii back to unmodded, with everything deleted, and then remod it? I'm not sure what I installed in the beginning (when Wanin's first got leaked) and I would like to clean it to hopefully free up memory/possibly help the ACCF lag issue.

Three) If my wii is not OFF (red light), it keeps the disk spinning, even in standby (yellow light). It's not supposed to do this is it?
