Sorry to be a pain, but can someone just link me to a Backup Launcher Gamma with the 002 fix, as a WAD I can install as a channel. I don't want autostart or anything like that, just a normal channel. I have seen several threads about it, but there just seem to be so many options I am not sure which I am supposed to be choosing.

Anyways, i've been banned from playing mkwii online due to my..... in appropriate usage of items. And i'm considering removing the HBC all together. However, i do not want to remove my emulators. I'm trying to find a way to keep my emulators on a 3.4 wii system and remove HBC.

I hope this question isn't a constantly repeated one, and i hope it isn't considered one of the bad ones you're not supposed to as for. But thanks for any advice!

LOL I am here to clarify something.

If I want to run ISOs through the Disc Channel (the one built in the Wii), I need CIOSCORP rev 8 and 3.2U right?

Otherwise, I have to run my ISOs through the various Backup Loaders.

Am I right so far? Haha I am thinking whether to downgrade and install CIOSCORP so that my game time can be recorded.

You have either a bad region file, a corrupted file OR a corurpted SD
Solution:
Reformat you SD, redownload the file and this time check it is for your region (42.app for NTSC 45.app for PAL)



Do they have to have all the 00000 before the 42.app? How should the file names be setup exactly?


00000042.app or 00000045.app

Hi all! Need some help getting Sonic and the Black Knight to work on my PAL Wii. I have:

PAL Wii + Wiikey (I think 1.9g)
Firmware 3.2E
Freeloader
Homebrew Channel

When I start the game (PAL version) it asks me if I want to instal an update. Since I get the 'moddified software' warning, I don't do this. When I use the Freeloader, I only get a black screen, after hitting Start Game.

Can someone please help me fix this?

i installed the arc mod 5 and it went fine

my system is now 3.2u

i installed preloader 0.28 and it went fine too

it's nice

then i installed cios36 rev8
it went fine too

i want to obliterate error 001 and i thought cios36 rev8 did this but i still get it,

also i saw a mario themed menu, how can i get that?

(note i cant patch my discs{well cause i buy them prated things} and i dont have the financial support to buy another modchip.)

001 error fix = Naw. Save some money or something and get a new chip.

mario theme = I suggest you look into softmii's guide.

Anyway, have Preloader pre-installed before you proceed. It seriously saves your Ass.

a friend softmii`d his Wii and ran SSBB retail copy but it messed up or something and now when he goes to settings it gives him this error:

Is there anyway to fix that?

Ok he changed his region installing the SysMenu with Any region changer, and then he updated his Wii with SSBB, that's why he got that, thing that I really don't understand cause he was supoused to install preloader and enable the hack that blocks updates, if he didn't install the wrong sysmenu, then he changed the setting in any region changer to other region, he needs to change those back to his region and press SAVE, then just reboot..!!!

As it turns out he just installed the homebrew channel and then ran an update from SSBB that messed up his Wii, not the full softMii package... what an idiot! I cannot go through the softmii package to install on his Wii because I cannot get into the settings to configure an internet connection. Can I use 3.2 systemmenu hacked v289 through WAD Manager to get his Wii back to normal and then softmii it?

I have a couple more questions lol, I have copies of some recent games like MadWorld but they don't load up? I read that I need IOS 38, 53 and 55 but under CIOScorp in the SoftMii 2.1.1 package those are installed right so why can't I load it?


Edit: The hacked system menu 3.2 v289 didn't work when I tried loading it through wad manager it gave me error ret -1029

exactly but I would recomend that you install the complete MiiWii or softmii package to have full region free and preloder to save your @$$..!!

Yupp that sounds great.

But wait is MiiWii a PAL only release or will a NTSC system do the job as well?

I'm on PAL Wii with firmware 3.1E. To install Starfall, I need to be at 3.2E. How do I update from 3.1E to 3.2E, without causing any problems playing backups?

1) I know i can use an sdhc card on the homebrew channel to brows apps but will the apps and emulators run from the sdhc card or do they have to be written for the support?

2) So if any emulator for the wii runs on sdhc cards does the rom browser work as well?

3) What drivers/wads or whatever do i need to get my 2 gig usb drive to work so i can use it for storing roms/music/apps and so on.

4) Whats the limit to usb memory, 32gigs?

Ok, so I still have this semi-brick error that I cannot access the settings in the Wii so I cannot use Any Region Changer.
Also, the v289 system menu hack .wad files doesn't work

From what I can gather, my friend installed the homebrew channel on firmware 3.3U and may have messed up the region. Is there any fix at all for this or is his Wii dead?
