Unsigned codes that supposed to do more than just mere stuff.

Anyway, I said that because:
1)Games that you downloaded that is RARed and the size is less than 4.3 GB is scrubbed, thus, trucha-signed.

2)Just downgrade.

Just downgrade dude.

All that you heard is false, except for backup launching in 3.4. Then again, trucha signed disc WOULD NOT run in 3.4

In a nutshell, downgrade.
whats trucha?
A program/bug that allows you to edit the contents of a Wii ISO and fakesign it.

in this link you will find my thread i made that i still didn't get an answer to my last 2 posts http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=134...p;#entry1757661 .i did a little bit more searching and found out i have to install bootldr.dol so i can play multi gamecube games, now that leaves mfe-fs, and boot.catalog.i think all i have to do is just burn the zipped file that is created but i'm not to sure.

also i need to know if shrunk games work the same unshrunk games.

I used FSTFIX.exe it works by command line and it will give you the 1.35GB file you need...!!!
biggrin.gif

i would never have thought to use fstfix but i guess i will use it for future downloads which i got a few right now.
but can someone please answer my MultiGameISOCreator for gamecube i am using MultiGame_ISO_Creator_v3.2.4F.
i really don't want to make a mistake because i'm low on dvds and i really want to test this out.

i got like 3 games to burn in as a multi iso maybe i'll have a forth if it fits in one dvd.

Hey I've only been doing this stuff for 5 days so I pretty much know nothing

I have homebrew ad gamma backup launcher

I have a US wii and downgraded to 3.2U to install the launcher. Ever since I did that, I can't play my original Gamecube game (it is NTSC and used to work fine). The sound plays, but the screen is black and the wiimote turns off/system freezes while sound is still playing. Anyone know why this happened?

Completely different question:
I had starfall installed, but I heard that Softmii lets you load from the disc channel so I deleted starfall (I used the Delete Hacks app in the Softmii package and it said hacks successfully deleted). then I installed Softmii, but when I tried to change the "System Hacks" it only gave me one option, "Move disc channel", and didn't give me the skip updates or anything else.

I don't even like the setup of Softmii (the green hand and the Disc Channel is always fuzzy looking) so I think I want to just uninstall it and reinstall starfall. Can anyone tell me how to uninstall it? Or tell me why I can't find the other system hacks in the settings menu?

Thank you

I think that you downgrade to 3.2E instead of U
E= Europe, and Australia
U= USA, and the rest of America
J= Japan and Asia

You need to have only hacks 289 in your hacks.ini file in the root of your SD, check that out, and delete the 290 ones

Again I think you choose the incorrect region for your Wii, there is nothing fuzzy or green, you need to use Any Region Changer and make sure this time you install 3.2U, then your preloader and Starfall will be erased, if you want to delete the entire SoftMii package, then after you use Any region changer, perform an update thru the Wii Settings and that will be it...!!!

Thank you so much for your reply

I definitely did install 3.2 U though. It said to be extremely careful so I was
smile.gif
lol and when I go to Wii Settings it says 3.2U in the right hand corner.

Do you have SoftMii v1.0? I think it was just released, so maybe that's why I have a green hand curser and you don't. The disc channel icon looks fuzzy but then when I click on it, and click start it works fine.

My original Wii games still work fine, so I really don't think I updated to the wrong region.

again thank you and i hope my reply didn't sound rude - just trying to be specific.

it's ok, you aren't being rude, but I really recomend you to run again the AnyRegion Changer in SoftMii package and install the 3.2U system menu and the cIOS30 from CIOScorp pack, maybe that will solve your problem, after that only rest to install preloader back again, if it gives you an error in the hacks, run the remover and then enter again into preloader settings, hope you can fix this, don't do the tweak tool so you don't install the modded cursor...!!!

OK here is my noob question. i started out on a pal wii 3.3, installed hbc with backuploader gamma, then when softmii was released (.9.5 fixed health screens) i installed that one. so downgraded tot 3.2e and now have a working wii. I know i can't update from the nintendo servers. but i am wondering, what now when a game comes out which needs an update to play. What then?

Until now you only need the IOS requested by the game and a update skipping method(included in softmii as far as i know). If nintendo doesn't do really big changes, all you need to play new games in the future is to extract all IOS from the game, see which IOS are on the disc and not installed on your Wii and install them. But if a new game with a new IOS is released, i'm 100% sure, there will be an update for cioscorp(the backup part of softmii), with a cIOS instead of this IOS and precise instructions how to upgrade this.

OK, so I've only had my Wii for a week and have softmodded it and use WiiGator Backup Launcher v0.3 gamma to load my games. No real problems so far. However, I've got a couple of questions:

I burned House of the Dead 2 and 3 before checking the Compatibility Matrix and obviously get the error where HOTD2 just hangs after you select it (whereas HOTD3 is fine). I could reburn with the IOS patched to 249 but is it likely that future versions of the backup loader would fix errors like this? I'm just curious because I'd rather have 1:1 copies on the assumption that fixes are likely to turn up at some point rather than patch games only to find that they stop working with future firmware updates (that might be desirable to install for instance) and all that sort of thing. I don't really want to patch something and later regret it and equally I'd rather not burn multiple copies of games if not really necessary! Am I making sense here?
smile.gif

I guess the answer to this next one is: "try it yourself!!" but I didn't know if it was a bad idea in the first place? Could I burn a patched copy of a game like HOTD2/3 on a +RW and, assuming it loaded and got past the problem, switch it for my 1:1 DVD-R copy (on the basis that it ought to read better than a +RW and so play faster, not put so much strain on the laser etc etc...)? That way I could play it for a bit and then just erase the +RW when I'm done. Yes, I am really skint plus I hate wasting discs on principle!

Thanks!

richy,

i had the same problem with HOD2/3. i researched a little and found that cioscorp was the way to go. (pretty sure that was what was needed.)

since i installed that, hod2 works perfectly and all my games launch from the disc channel. no need to launch wii gator or gamma anymore.

then again, i have installed so many things over the past month that i could be wrong about this...geez, now i just made a pointless post.

this stuff can get very very confusing at times.

Just out of curiousity (as I already know how to make my Wii a virgin again), say you've downgraded to 3.2 and have Gamma and Starfall on there (as per EmperorOfCanada's guide), what would happen if you used an offical update to 3.4?

Would the Wii just carry on functioning as a normal unmodded Wii again? (eg. only play official discs, updated Wii shop, no homebrew etc)

I installed the HBC with the twilight hack running system update 3.3U. I used the CIO update that came with backup loader 0.3 gamma. When I tried to use WAD manager 1.3 I got error 2011 whenever I tried to install a WAD. From looking on the boards I think my problem is that I actually had 3.3v2.

What should my next step be? Do I need to downgrade to 3.3v1? Should I update to 3.4 and reinstall the twilight hack (with 3.4 version)?

I would greatly appreciate some guidance.

Done that, all your IOS are back to trucha fixed. Nothing is removed, just, that, you can't do some stuff anymore

Downgrade to 3.2. If you're playing with WADs, you must have an escape plan in case of a banner brick. Get preloader.

I would greatly appreciate some guidance.
