When speaking with the Spanish site MeriStation at a press event in London last week, Mana Ibe of GameFreak said that after Pokémon Black and Pokémon White, they'll be done with the current Pokémon generation.
This would be breaking tradition, as every previous Pokémon generation has seen a third, enhanced release, in the forms of Pokémon Yellow, Pokémon Crystal, Pokémon Emerald and Pokémon Platinum.
It's been generally assumed all over the internet that a third edition, tentatively referred to as Pokémon Grey would eventually follow up Black and White, but if GameFreak are telling the truth, then that is evidently not the case.
Pokémon Black and Pokémon White were released simultaneously on September 18th of last year in Japan, and was released on March 4th of 2011 in Europe and March 6th in North America.
