Can you add more button remapping options? It'd be a lot nicer to have Y and B mapped to B and A and have select mapped to a face button.

After the opening in Dungeon Explorer the screen turns a few different colors then finally turns pink and is unplayable.

Just tested Dungeon Explorer, and it works here. (U) version.
I had some problems with a few games on my PSP tg16 emu a while ago, and Another World directed me at this nice tool called PCEToy for decrypting .pce games.

Okay, so a couple of questions if I may. DStwo user here.
  • I get now that I need to make a nitrografx folder on the root of my DStwo's SD card, but what kinda file/folder structure would there need to be there?
  • For Dracula X, using the supersystem bios-card file, one thing that's kind of off-putting is the lack of some of the audio while playing the game. This is most noticeable in that there's no dialogue where there should be, such as the cutscenes.
I'm hoping that at least creating the folder would be enough to allow me to actually have save states and be able to actually save/keep my progress in general.

Also, one thing I've noticed is that at least with the rom pack I downloaded of the HuCard list, it seems like the emulator doesn't seme to like "final" releases of games, and many times blackscreens on 'release' coded games while those that were flagged as beta or pre-release would actually load. Not that I'm complaining too much, since I at least usually have a build I can run, but it is rather surprising since usually in my experience, emulators tend to like the final releases of games best.

To be blunt

You didn't try to get the games working like 90%

Street Fighter 2 CE - Still has no Sound Effects only Audio
Dracula X - On Stage 0 Death doesn't talk, SE sound odd

I'm not talking about Stage 0, though that was kind of odd for me... to be truthful though, that's probably cuz I ended up playing the DracX chronicles on PSP and was half-expecting it, completely forgetting about the VC wad I had installed on my Wii.

What I'm talking about is the part where you encounter and recruit Maria. There's supposed to be dialogue there (obvious from the character's mouths moving), but there is no dialogue. Even went back to the same area in the WiiVC and yea, there should be audio dialogue (even if I don't understand a word of japanese). I'm only trying to bring it to your attention to see if it might lead to a bugfix down the line.

Thanx for your work! I have tested like 200 games now. Most of them works perfect. Some of us titles want boot though.. This emu is one of the best for the ds!! :)

Just uploading some photos of nitrografx 0.7 in action.
  • DSi XL
  • SuperCard DStwo
  • nitrografx 0.7
  • Ninja Ryukenden (J)
Lovin' the scanline effect on the DSi XL.

Took the photos with my phone running OpenCamera, and trying out the macro function on the close-up of Ryu Hayabusa there.

Please keep up the good work sir... it is thanks to you that I've been able to discover the amazing software on a console that effectively never existed in its active lifecycle.

Thanks for your hard work, DS is not very powerful system, so amazing to see so many good emulators for it.
I'm using NitroGrafx 0.7 on a DStwo flashcart and 3DS console. I have put the NitroGrafx.nds file in my \ds_plugin\ folder.
Before copying them to the SD card, I open all TurboGrafx ROMs in Ootake to fix corrupt headers and overdumps. I then copy them to \PC Engine\ on the SD card.

NitroGrafx runs all of the ROMs I have tried so far. It has good performance and TurboGrafx games look good on the small screen, better than SNES or NES titles. This might have something to do with the fact they both have 240 horizontal lines, so no scaling or black borders.

I was a bit disappointed to find that savestates only work unreliably.

Creating \NitroGrafx\ (root directory) seems to work better than \DATA\NitroGrafx\. Other games will simply crash when the savestate function is used. A given game may save many times, and then get some noise in the display during saving, and crash the emulator. The savegame will be corrupted.
After saving, there might be scratchy audio thereafter, though it will fix itself after a while.

This is one of the worst bugs, one that is inconsistent and unpredictable and thus irreproducible.
If the emulator produced a coredump on crash, then it might be possible to help the developer.

Can anyone confirm these findings? Are there workarounds? Am I missing something?

Also, is there a compatibility list for NitroGrafx? Should we start one? :-)

I tested that too, and it worked fine.

I have a different problem: the "Save State" function is not working. Once I touched it and the freezed normal game screen crashed into QR-code-like black-white dots immediately, and all the saved data files in "NitroGrafx" folder appear to be 0 byte in size. I can only power off the console, or it will stay on the crashed screen at all.

I am using an A9LHed Luma3DS 5.5 N3DSLL with DSTWO+, and run it from the "_dstwoplug" folder. Although the NitroGrafx works really great, yet I cannot save the games and I almost give up.....

Did you make any progress here, or anyone else?

I find the emulator to be really cool the way you load roms and have settings on the second screen.
It also gives me a good framerate and feel when trying to play dracula x.

However, as codezer, i have some missing dialog and sounds, and i seem to be unable to save my progress : /
Save states cause a glitch when i try to load them, and normal saves seems to dissappear as soon as i restart my DS.
Using EzFlash V btw.

Please don´t bump old threads. He probably would have post a reply if he made any progress.

Oh.. Sorry about that. Should i have made a new thread or is it best to not write anything at all since it is such an old emulator?
Sorry for writing again, just wanted to ask and i don't think there is a better forum for this type of questions..

It was not just a message to codezer but also a general bump to see if anyone is using Nitrografx and if they have some tips and tricks to share.
