It gets stranger. It seems that resizing the partition to 1TB fixed the issue, but when I put a second partition in the unused space, the issue then returns. It seems that the Wiiflow has compatibility issues on RVL101 Wii's with some 2TB HDD's when in GameCube mode. I think I will retest with devolution because I don't think this is a Nintendont issue

Edit: just realized I can't do that because RVL101's don't access GameCube discs

Sorry I completely skipped or missed your edit about the game cube disks.

While it might not read the actual physical GameCube disks it will read the images stored on the hard drive and you can play them just fine.

Edit: If I'm wrong about this someone please let me know. I have soooooo many Wii's I'm not sure which version I'm using at any given time, but I always check to see that Wii and GameCube titles play on all my Wiis when I set them up. So unless the crack I'm smoking has affected my memory, you can play the GameCube images on the RVL101, but you just can't connect the real CG controller to it because it lacks the ports.

Devolution has an anti piracy policy so it requires you to insert the physical disc on first use of a backup image. After that it never asks you to do it again.

I did edit my previous post to allow for me being old and forgetful.

Ya, not sure if I ever used Devolution. And I sure never had a real CG disk back then so probably never used it.

I most likely played with Dios Mios a little before Nintendont came along and never went back. Nintendont FOREVER!!!!!

Apparently you can use devolution on RVL101's, just reading up on how

Edit: You have to verify with an RVL001, use the same USB HDD, then (oddly) use the same wiimote s-:

The generic ones typically have a toggle switch on them to switch between PC and Wii U mode. I would check to see if it has one such switch.

Also make sure you have the correct USB cable plugged in if only using one as one cable is for data and the other gives power for rumble.

that adapter I had did have the switch, I both tried pc and wiiu mode and nothing.

And also both usb cables plugged on wiiu and nothing.

Have anyone here tried playing gc games with gc controler on wiiu using adapter? I cant find this answer anywhere

of course we played with the adapter, but most people use the official adapter im guessing your using a random 3rd party/fake one which might nit have the ini file made for it or something.

I’ve used a mayflash GameCube adapter and it works properly with Nintendont on the Wii U, but if I use it with injected games I have to plug in the USB after the game starts otherwise it causes the console to freeze. I’ve tried older Nintendont revisions and they don’t work for me.

this was fixed on the latest nintendont, not sure what version you are running.

When "haha secondhand scalping go brrrr" gets in the way of a good trim.

There are only so many original retail discs in existence, but data can be put on as many rewritable devices as you want.

I tried updating by replacing the Boot.dol and Meta.xml files from the Github's latest release and it still doesn't work for me. Not sure if it is because I'm using VC injects, but, it doesn't work.

might just be that inject of yours that has issues maybe a weird error or something.if even older versions dont work for you and they did for everyone then it has to be your inject itself that has issues with usb stuff, or your wiiugc adapter is a fake/3rd party device that sends mixed signals to nintendont.

did anyone he ebuy a gc adapter from aliexpress and can confirm it is working with GC games on wiiu?

I can't buy the mayflash from amazon because of shipping and tax, it will be freaking expensive!

Hello everyone. I just bought a couple of wavebirds hoping to get them to work with gamecube injects on the wii u with a gamecube adapter. They do not appear to be working the adapter. Is it possible for injects to use the gamecube adapter? Thanks!

if i remenber you need to turn them on before starting the games like when nintendont is on the menu or is loading the game.

Thanks for replying! I was so excited to try with inject that I didn't even think about trying with SSB Wii U. It didn't even work for that so I am figuring it is a faulty adapter.

try this go to vwii or homebrew channel in vwii itself if you got it moded, then on the nintendont menu try turning the wavebird on and see if it works on nintendont menu, also i hope you wiiugc adapter is an official one and not some fake/3rd party those are not garannteed to work at all.

If using a 3rd party adapter make sure the toggle switch is set to Wii U and not to PC.
