I just never got around to updating since it works well enough as-is.
Never use video tutorials. Software changes faster and in subtler ways than Youtubers have time to keep up with, text documentation is easy to edit and recycle between versions. In other words the information will be outdated as soon as the release hype is over.
Also in my experience, even Youtubers who do this for a living will suggest insane shit that makes no sense and causes problems. I have had to share my pacman mirrors lists with people and walk them through a transfer from a spare computer because Youtubers told them to delete all their mirrors when installing EndeavourOS to "make software install faster".
That's a waste of time and he wouldn't have any room left to actually develop the software.
Canithesis Git (mine), Codeberg, GitLab, srcht, sourceforge, etc.
Half of them suck balls but the point is there are options besides Microsoft's.
This is bullshit.
I know people who have their own domain + VPS that runs their everything and it costs them less than their Spotify subscription.
If you are using version control software like every developer should be, then you already have a better place to host your software. Usually FOR FREE.
