Why is Mario Kart GP so laggy? Playing thru USB on Wii U (game is .iso)
if its laggy is because your usb is very slow, becuase the game works perfectly, unless you have some settings on that are making it very laggy like some log on or os report.

USB is fine, anything else I can try to see where the problem is?
the game is expected to be loaded from a NAND chip so most usb devices will not have a fast enough response time to play back the game lagfree, in fact I dont think any device you can use with nintendont would be fast enough to play it 100% perfect. this game is probably the only time where I would suggest to use a sd card, simply because it has the fastest response time you can get out of the wii and you rarely notice lag spikes, though they of course still happen every few minutes because it is all emulated after all.

Question: Do i get full speed with SD card for all the games as well? because i tried it with my SD and it worked just fine... but Mario Kart DD gives me lag on the intro movie, any ideas why is that?

EDIT: Mario Kart is like est format i think

EDIT: I trien MK DD from SD 1:1 and works like charm

maybe i will use the SD for all of my GC Games

only gp and gp 2 expect fast access times like that, for all other gamecube games its better to use a usb device simply because that can read data with a faster speed overall, it just takes longer to start reading which all other games expect since they all load from discs normally.

Alright, sounds good :) thank you very much for the help! :D

I had difficulties setting up my controller yesterday (its a GameSir G3s). Especially since it has a bunch of modes depending on what its being set up with. I got the following when i used the HID Test (from cetygamer):

"Failed to open config
HIDVersion:40001
Getting list of HID compatible devices..."

and gets stuck on that part.

Update on this:

I'm able to get button/analog input in the HIDtest via my controller's PS3 mode. However, with the controller connected Nintendont crashes before the Gamecube game's bootup sequence, and connecting the controller after the Gamecube game starts still results in another crash. How can I fix this? I have Nintendont v4.422.

Hi

Using nintendont and working fine but there's one game I can't get to work - midway arcade treasures 2. 1 and 3 have worked fine gc disc and sd card but 2 doesn't happen even with PAL60 patch. it goes to initial copyright screen and then goes black then nothing.

Sorry if this isn't the right place to pay but not sure where to place the thread.

Thanks

is the iso a full md5 iso with md5 checked? if so take a picture of your nintendont settings and post it here.

delete the controller ini on the root of your sd/usb same for your ninconfig.bin, probably got a corrupted file, if your ps3 controller is like the official nintendont has a built in controller ini for ps3,

Checking storage devices....

pops up for a while on loading the program. Are there corrupt files on the SD card, as i don't remember seeing it before.

nintendont recent versions take a little while to start than the old ones, becuase now it initiates more stuff on boot up isntead of being only on game launching screen.

I've never had a controller.ini file in my root in the first place. Should I find one? Also, is Nintendont's built in ini supposed to work automatically?

on real ps3 controllers yes, but since yours is a mixed controller it might be causing issues, you probably need to make your own ini since it isnt an official ps3 controller.

Hmm. not sure about it being a full md5 iso - I used CleanRip and put the iso into a 'game' folder. Left the BCA and text file in the main folder as advised.

Used the disc first and then tried it via SD card - same issue each time.

Thanks

why is patch pal 50 ON? did you try with it off already?

also check your iso md5, cleanrip sometimes does bad dumps tough.

Thanks for the help. I'm not sure if my issue is unique in that the console crashes if I try to plug in the controller, or if that is a typical issue. On the controllers manual it says something about PS3 mode needing to match and assign IDs with the PS3, which I'm unfamiliar with.

probably crashes becuase nintendont tries to acess it as an hdd or flashdrive due to not recognizing it and it isnt so it crashes.

Hi yes I tried the patch from advice from subscriber101 when it was already not working without.

I ripped a second time in case of that but no luck. I'll check and try again.

Thanks

Hi - no it's NTSC. I bought them on ebay and that's why I had to get nintendont etc so that I could play 'em. 1 and 3 work fine but 2 remains an issue.
