Help. When I try to play Nintendont on my Wii, I always get "failed to load kenral from NAND".

I installed ios58-64-v6176.wad and it still didn't work. My Wii is 4.3U.

Is it my 32GB SDHC SanDisk card or something else?
Make sure Homebrew Channel is up to date and unmodified (like themes). Also, make sure you copied over the XML file to your Nintendont directory and that it's not corrupted.

It's actually the largest thread on gbatemp that's not EOF. This just shows that people really do want gamecube on Wii U and i'm very surprised Nintendo hasn't took advantage of it.

Also most people will instantly think of this video when they read the thread title

I was just sharing something

Anyway guys forget about DVD-R support.
what is the best sector size for a USB 2 drive ?
512, Nintendont has issues with HDDs with a 4K sector size. A lot of newer drives use 4K but you should be able to find a slightly older one (just around 3 years old or older) easily.

Thanks and does allocation unit size effects nintendont ?
if it does which size is recommended for nintendont?

Generally, it's better to go with 32KB or 64KB. It helps reduce fragmentation and has (very slightly) less overhead. I stick to 32KB as some homebrew (albeit older homebrew) has some issues with 64KB.

Now I get a much better loading time in Rogue Leader with 32Kb allocation unit size and without disabling speed limit. Thanks a lot that fixed the problem which was annoying me.

Sometimes when I launch my games through usb loader gx nintendont got stuck at the main screen (the one with nintendont logo with the disc above the cube), only showing:

nintendont loader v3.371 (Wii) home: exit
built: aug 12 2015 23:15:34 a: select
firmware: 58.24.32

and nothing else. I can only shut down the console since controls aren't responsive. It happens maybe every third time, regardless of game/settings. Usb loader gx is rev. 1256

nintendont runs all isos the thing is some cheats might not work depending on the memory adresses becuase nintendont changes some of them for games to work also im preety sure nintendont already has a built in widescreen code for luigi mansion if you force widescreen on the settings but the 50/60 hz option it doesnt but you can also try force pal60 on nintendont videomodes wich might work just the same as the cheat codes, all that aside all those codes should work no problem.

Thank you, I'll try to mess with those options too!

this is a known problem with the latest usbloader gx rev just revert usbloader gx to the previous rev.

Okay, I got to try the Luigi's Mansion thing.

Forcing the game at PAL60 doesnt work, and forcing Progressive Scan through Nintendont launcher will create some weird input lag.

I tried with the code but it didn't make any difference... Until I saw that the code I created was empty except for some values the program forces when it's created (Is there any GCT editor that is not Smash Bros related? Kind of annoying actually).

Anyway, I redid the GCT file with the code (Version 2 of Hz option only) I quoted earlier and... It actually works!

A question in the Main Title Screen will pop up in english (Even if you have the game set to another one) asking if you want to change into Progressive Scan mode, if you say Yes it will change mode and enter into the File Select screen.

This brings the question : WHY in the F*%$ would Nintendo hide the HZ selector in the first case? It's an OPTION for god's sake...

So thanks to that code we can play the pal version (The best version Content-wise) without gimped speed forced by the 50hz. You can even activate the Widescreen option in Nintendont, although I rather leave it as it was originally.

I hope this information is useful for anyone.

About language once you saved a game in english the save willl be english and the game will always be english to get it to show in spanish you need to force language to spanish in nintendont and only after creat a save, on the gamecube most games language options are tyed to the save in the memory card, yeah i know it sucks lol, but yeah some games have alot of options hidden.

Revert to USB Loader GX v1255. There's a issue with v1256. You can find the link to v1255 in Cyan's signature.

1º Create a GCT File with the code:

Enable 50/60Hz Mode Option v2 [Ralf]
04008544 38000001
04008548 900D00F8

2º Put the GCT File in the same folder as the game, with the same ID; in this case USB/Games/GLMP01/GLMP01.GCT (Luigi's Mansion Pal). You need the file Kenobiwii.bin in a folder named sneek on the root of the USB, so USB/sneek/Kenobiwii.bin

3º I use Nintendont Launcher, so I load the homebrew through the Homebrew Channel, and go to the USB menu. Press B to access the options, and turn on Cheats.

4º Launch the game. It will start at 50hz first, with the red logo of Nintendo, and when the game goes to the Title Screen, a question about changing the video mode will pop up. Answer YES and that's pretty much it, you'll be playing Luigi's Mansin Pal with 60hz.

I did nothing more than that.
