Sorry, I assumed you were using HID. I hadn't even considered using GC ports.

I'll consider changing it. I'm not looking forward to every person who uses a GC controller thinking that the reset combo doesn't work anymore.
Personally, I think the reset combos should involve the start button, so the user doesn't reboot accidentally.

On another note, Has anyone tested The Italian Job (couldn't find it on the list) on 2.193? It freezes right before the title screen.

Or you could make it an option in the settings where you can switch between the two depending on the game so it doesn't cause an issue. Someone mentioned they were playing SSX Tricky and the reset combo is a move.

It's a known issue.
Thanks - just wanted to be sure.

Hi, I have a problem with Paper Mario, when I try to launch it, the Wii U reboots. My other games seem to work just fine and the first time I tried Paper Mario it worked too, so I don't know what the problem is, is there anyone who can help me ?

Thanks.

Its on my "to do" list. Will test it in about 2 hrs

I got another question.

Is there a way to make the sound in Baten Kaitos Origins work? Or is it just me?
In the first level the music starts for a second and then it just quits.
i heard someone saying music is fixed with full iso of both discs dkn if its true or not but if you dont have a full iso you should get one.

nintendont version?
settings?
mcemu size?
iso size?

i really dislike ppl asking for help and not providing any info at all, noone whatsoever are we supposed to guess?

Paper mario All regions works fine. You might be using the pal version. It appears to be fully working on compatibility list. Your ISO must be corrupt.
Mine is NTSC-U and is fully working.

Wanna test sleep with a GC game? Start Sonic Adventure 2 > Last story > The cutscsne after Cannon's Core (the one with Amy and Shadow) it's a somewhat long cutscsne with no BGM with it, if the dialog starts to not-synch with the lips timing then you're HDD is the sleepy type or is about to go to sleep, some HDDs even go full speed during the cutscene characters start talking a minute after the lip motion!

Or you could you know, start a game where "pause" mutes the music, from the top of my head TMNT2 does that, pause the game and wait for a little bit then start again, if the music takes longer to start then it's sleepy!

Well, I tested my HDD like this:
I ran 1 level in Crash Bandicoot to the end and then leave the game like this for 15 minutes or so. Then I ran to the end-lvl-teleport, the game should load lobby-level, but it didnt. I guess, my HDD falls asleep during those 15 mins. Then I did the same thing with Donky Kong Country Returns (Wii game), but game successfully loaded the world map after I finished level after 15-minute break. I guess, this is a bad sing for me about my relationships with gamecube game. Is there anything I can do about it? And should I turn on some specific options to successfully run NTSC game on my shitty non-gamecube'ish Wii?

nintendont doesnt need special stuff to run ntsc games on pal wii/tvs or he reverse.

wiigames are diferent from gc games when using nintendont the only way is to get your hdd and serach the web hwo to turn the sleep mode completely off.

I still think you should try a 1:1. All kind of unknown and complex things can be going on which could be solved by just using a RAW iso

Is using a simple usb 16 gb flash drive also a solution? I dont think flash drive can fall asleep like HDD does.

I actually used original 1,36 gb iso last time for test.

this 1:1 games are always the fix for manny crappy bugs on manny games ppl have it could fix your issues if you using a shrunk iso the most comon errors are loading bugs and music glitches.

Change your folder name for that game and tell me what happens.

I think Crash Bandicoot is a bad game to test with because the GC port is so bad loading times aren't consistent, some levels load within seconds and other can drag for minutes.

But from what you described it's definitely sleep issues, loading Wii games always worked fine even with the sleepiest hard drive I had (and trust me that hard drive was so sleepy it would go to sleep mode within 3 seconds) I didn't know Nintendont has sleep issues like Dios Mios was, I had to do many testing during the fixing of sleep mode with Dios Mios back in the days and it's still not 100% sleep-free but at least now games don't get stuck anymore but the dialog during the cutscsnes in games like Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Heroes when there's no BGM still gets delayed in Dios Mios.

As for what to do you only have one solution, check your hard drive brand or call the company if you had to, see if there's a way to disable sleep mode, that's what I did, if you had to buy another hard drive pick one that's confirmed to work with Nintendont and has an option to turn off sleep mode, I recommend Western Digital My Passport if you can find that in your area.

Time off from work means I had some time to work on this.
I was originally working on 007 Nightfire, but FIX fixed that one, so I had to find something else to work on.

v2.194
Fixes for PSO 1&2 Plus
-Move access from 0x80001800 to 0x931C0000
-Apply dol entry mod after switch.prs extraction to dol
-Don't mod psov3.dol entry point. Used after DVD load. Patch entry hack.

Notes:
Just because your game works with DIOS MIOS, Dolphin or whatever, doesn't mean the ISO is correct. Rerip your disc and verify with hashes.
This probably only fixes PSO 1&2 Plus. It's the only one I own, so that's the one I fixed/tested.
I only tested this with Native on and MemcardEmu off.

Massive geekgasm in 3...2...1...

So we're stuck with it, or you'll change it later? Basically it's only needed if you use the gamecube controller and don't have a wiimote on hand. Also, I feel that home from the wiimote should work regardless of if there's something plugged in or not. Maybe another way to go would be to have users hold down the start button for 3 seconds or something.
Using start held would cause even more problems for the mayflash gamecube to wiimote adapter.
(R + Z + Start) and (R + Z + B + D-Pad Down) has been used sence DML. Someone wanting to hit random buttons is no reason to change it. If it confilcts with one game a solution may be to disable the seaquence for that one game.

I've since changed my mind on holding the start button down but now that you mention it, isn't that the Mayflash adapter does anyway? I do however feel that the start button should be used in the reset/return combos, otherwise some users may be prone to returning to loader while they're button mashing. That's just my thoughts.
