I know that in r2.146 Burnout 2 blackscreens. Dunno about r2.148 but there is a solution. :)
Use r133 or r127 for this game as i can confirm they run this game great. Only issue is no in game music yet.

Btw, keep in mind that USBLGX allows you to use many different builds of Nintendont for different games (just point it to the location of the Nintendont build you wanna use fro the game settings, it's the last option down below), so it doesn't need to be a ''one size fits all'' build of Nintendont. I personally use 3 different builds for my ~140 GC games collection.

False. Another user confirmed it working on the Wii, ShadowOne333 confirmed it working on a regular Wii 2006 model, as he tested for me the other day. The problem it seems, are the dumps for the game are not being verified and need to match the SHA-1, MD5 and CRC32 hashes on redump.org. I'd suggest asking him as he can vouch for it.

I tested on my Launch 2006 wii and it didn't work.

Maybe the problem is the cord you are using. If your using a composite cord then Burnout 2 will blackscreen on boot. If your using hdmi or component then the game will boot? This is the best thing I can bet

Nope, component cable, I hate composite, looks too weird and has crawl-dot issues. I didn't have a clean dump, but after ripping another one, it does verify all the hashes on the site, ask the user I tagged, he can vouch that it does indeed work on a regular Wii. Again, people need to check their ISO dumps to see if they are clean and verified. I take his word for it and trust him when he said it works on a regular Wii. I can't test it on the Wii U since I've no HID controllers, so, yeah, ain't gonna happen. If it is Wii specific, then it should be something looked into. :P :P

Burnout 2 is just a very strange game then. I tested it on both Wii and Wii U and it refuses to boot on my Wii but works perfectly on my Wii U.

Well, for some reason, the version of USB Loader GX didn't update (not hooked up to internet on Wii) so I downloaded it from Cyan's signature, the build that works with Nintendont, but uh, I must have copied the folder wrong, as I loaded if from the HBC and was not the 12xx version or whatever it was for cIOS 249. So yeah, that didn't work right, not sure what I did wrong. I need to know how to actually install it right as it's been so long.

Latest USBLGX is 1231. Upload by Cyan: http://www.mediafire.com/download/4chkwkwrwtigh4x/R1231_IOS222-249-250.7z

Copy the boot.dol of your choice (i use the ios 250 one) in /apps/usbloader_gx/ and load it via HBC.

Absolute statement that is also wrong. Burnout 2 does work on Wii.
It only blackscreened with r2.146. I works with r133, r127 as well as 2.148 of Nintendont (just tried it in the afternoon).
Loaded via USBLGX r1231, Wii 4.3 PAL, connected to CRT via official Nintendo scart cable, B2 NTSC iso force PAL60.

It worked on Dios Mios back in the past on my Wii as well, but the ISO dump I made was corrupted, so I had to re-dump it. Again ShadowOne333 did indeed get it to run, he can vouch that as fact. Methinks it has to do more with bad dumps more than anything. He verified his ISO on redump.org so that's a good way to find out for sure.

I tried 2.148 and I got a black screen of death, but I was still able to use the soft reset button combo, so it wasn't frozen, just wouldn't boot up. Dumped the game again and it's clean and verified according to the SHA-1, etc. Does USB Loader GX need to be on the apps on the SD or HDD? Used DiscEX to convert the game into its respective folders and is named game.iso.

Maybe a Syscheck comparing the ShadowOne333 and yours say why the game doesn't work, it's a stupid idea, but who knows, maybe useful, as far I know, Nintendont uses IOS58 (it says in the first post xD) so maybe you have a different IOS58.

Hard to know for sure, could also be a bad dump, I'm now verifying all my ISO images to make sure they have the right hashes and to see if they are the right size, as two of my dumps were not the right size of 1.35 GB or 1,459,978,240 bytes exactly.

I'm wondering why your ISOs are corrupt, I always use Internet ISOs, as for now, all my internet ISOs works fine.

Now i'm trying to use the USB Loader GX ver, but i can't play because it says that i need the abh_broth (something like that, i'm not sure), but if I use nintendont from HBC works perfect.

Care to explain how people got it work then? Because so far, we have two users that got it run, ShadowOne333 and nakata6790. That doesn't add up as they got it to run on a regular 2006 Wii. I can't test the Wii U version due to not HID controller.

Only a few were, I had to uh, well, *ahem* gain access to new copies of the games I dumped to re-verify them and now they are the correct size. I'll try them again.

i cant tell you the issue most likely on the wii set maxpads to 1 and it should work this is the same issue as with splinter cell and pandora tomorow they only booted on wiiu for me and not on the wii unles maxgampads were set to 1.

It boots like a normal game on the Wii U. Same exact settings gives black screen on boot on the Wii

Skepticism much? Are you deliberately refusing to believe the fact that the game does indeed work for these two users? It certainly sounds like it, you're more than welcome to ask them up front if you feel so inclined, I'm sure they'd be happy to verify that it works on a regular Wii, using 2.148.

I believe it booted for them. I just don't understand why it refuses to boot for some users on the Wii.

I'm going to test this right now

Yup, this is the solution to the Burnout 2 issue. I'm glad we know what the problem is now.
