You're wrong. I got to know about this project back then when Nintendont just WOULDN'T work in a wii Family Edition. it took a bit of time but they managed to find out that it was due to the Hollywood version being 0x21 and then it was solved. The test versions you're talking about were meant to find a way to change that fix so it would work in every console without affecting stuff like the power button. Spyro works perfectly fine, I just tested it and was playing for a bit.

I remember he had say in the past that he had some problems and after a mods revisions by FIX94 it works for him.

Yes, but that was back then when Fix94 was trying to change the patch so it would allow the use of the Power button in all the consoles (back then, we had to keep pressing the button, now we can just press it once). Trying to make that work made the 0x21 fix stop working in some of those test versions; that's why I'm telling him that the 0x21 issue did exist and was fixed way before that time.

It works on Dolphin and the md5 matches up with the dumps.

What else can you say about the way you boot? USB loader or straight from HBC? Settings? SD or USB? As I said, I was just playing that game without any issues in my family edition wii.

Same thing with Me :(

That was what i meant :P

What is really weird though, there are still some people who have family Wii, a verified dump of the game and it still doesn't work, that games specifically is the only one that is marked green in the compat. list that i can't play no matter what i try.

I always use scene dumps and verify my iso with the md5 method, i really don't think there are any problems with the iso, tried both PAL and NTSC, and they both hung up in a black screen.

I know FIX94 made it where it uses the bios inside the wii now but maybe try to put the gamecube bios on your drive? (dont ask for a download here)

HBC, from USB. USB setting enabled and that's about it.

Talking about the power button... I think it could be useful when it frezzes and it get you to vWii instead Wii U Menu, well that's what I think because the little times that It freezze it took me to the Wii U Menu and after that I need to go again to vWii and then use Nintendont...

Just tried it, and it still doesn't works.

I get more confused about this thing the more i try to mess with it

Okay, I managed to reproduce your issue. Apparently it only happens when I load the game from the HBC; if I use LoaderGX it works perfectly fine. I'll try changing the settings around to see if anything changes and edit later.

Edit: Well, I've tried changing the USB, MCEmu, HID, and Forcing NTSC video, but nothing makes it work. So I don't know what else to try. The only thing I can say for sure is that using Loader GX with MCEmu, HID, Autoboot, and even Widescreen, the game works without any problem (except for some sprites not showing up until you get closer, or stuff like that, which doesn't make it unplayable at all)

Related to wii family or not, I just say I play the game loaded in nintendont from the HBC. No problem at all.

I'll try deleting the nincfg.bin and try again, just in case. It doesn't really make sense that it works with a loader and not from HBC, unless it's related to the settings, since LoaderGX can only change a couple of things and it does it through arguments without modifying the config file.

Edit: well, that didn't work either.

So, it looks like Spyro is one of the infamous game which works for some people, while it don't for others :P Really weird it didn't work for you from the hbc, while it does for me.

I always play from LoaderGX so it doesn't really affect me because it does work from there, but it is kinda weird to get a black screen every time it's loaded from the HBC. Who knows, it might actually be related to the fact that it's a family edition wii.

That is not impossible, as some users on wii family reported the exact same issue.
