Some users have been having compatibility problems in WiiU with PAL games, and i know it's not such an urgent matter as long as the games are still playable but I'd like to ask to the devs if you know what might be the problem? It seems they need to force NTSC for the games to work otherwise they only get a black screen

Edit: apparently this started with a change in r75 but there was an user that mentioned this in earlier revisions so I'm not sure

quote="ShadowOne333, post: 4976097, member: 321711"]Actually, I own both an original CC and the CC Pro. It was a weird turn by Nintendo to start making their controllers entirely digital from the Classic Controller Pro to the WIi U Controller and the Gamepad, it sure is confusing since the analog shoulders were implemented since the last days of the N64/PSX era.

Even so, there are few mainstream games that make full use of the analog shoulders. So far I can only think of both Mario Sunshine and Luigi's Mansion that I care of.[/quote]

....
Classic Controller support would be most awesome of course anyway - great as using my PS1 or PS3 pad is, like has been said it's not quite the same: I'd be all over the program if this got added! :D

Can't be arsed looking for links (sorry! ), but Nin were forced by court order to change them due to patent infringement. (Sony were too, but they paid a settlement, Nintendo did not)
As a result Nintendo had to change the design on the Classic Controller to the Pro, specifically to change to analogue button to digital. This will remain in future controllers until, I suspect, they pay the settlement.
Well I'll be.. good info as no one ever clarified that before, thanks much. Now at least I don't have to hassle nintendo to bring back analog shoulder support as much as I should be hassling them to pay the damn settlement so that they can bring us those deliciously useful analog shoulder buttons back to our controllers lol. I swear Ninty you're the giant, you should be leading the trend u shoulda paid the damn settlement.. cheapskates.

FIFA World Cup 2002 now works 100%

Edit: That's not entirely true. The players which are outside of the 4:3 frame are missing when using widescreen patch (same issue with the bushes in Wind Waker)

I cannot get Melee to work anymore. It has the old problem where it freezes right before the character select screen.

NTSC 1.00

Better error reporting would help. If someone can confirm it consistently works in r(x), but doesn't in r(x+1), it's much easier to fix regression errors. Glancing over the changes to r75, I don't see much. My change to r74 seems more likely as I think Memcard A and SRAM (which involves region info) are on the same EXI channel.

So there ya go. Sorry for going off-topic lads, as you were and all that! Classic Controller support would be most awesome of course anyway - great as using my PS1 or PS3 pad is, like has been said it's not quite the same: I'd be all over the program if this got added! :D
What? I thought that issue was mainly due to a lawsuit made by Anascape and a Six Degrees of Freedom thingie, and even after some time NIntendo won the lawsuit.
Nintendo wasn't obligated to make the analog triggers digital in any sense, if that would be the case then Sony and Microsoft would have been sued too.
Here, I managed to get the link: http://www.patentarcade.com/2010/04/case-update-anascape-ltd-v-nintendo-of.html

I'd like to help more but I only have a Wii, however, felipecabralf , Goku Junior, and pedro702 are the ones who got DSI exceptions with PAL games if they didn't force NTSC video. The first two had issues with the latest revisions, but pedro702 mentioned it way earlier, around r57. I've tagged them so they can give some feedback and hopefully help fix this issue.

Can you explain me how I can do a error log to give to you? I was thinking to activate the Osreport option in settings but I'm not sure if it's that that I have to activate to do the error report

Edit: Well one thing's for sure, most of us miss the analogue triggers! And the Classic Controller beats the CC Pro anyday of the week! :D

ShadowOne333 and mightymuffy I don't want to be rude but I think that all that talk about Nintendo's legal issues with the Analog shoulders is a bit (if not too much) offtopic, would you guys mind leaving that talk for a different thread or something? You'll end up burying posts that are actually on topic and trying to report issues with the latest revisions.

I get an "Exception DSI Ocurred" error every time Im going to load a game.

Are you trying to load pal games, do you? it is normal, it happend to me too, you need to force to NTSC, but you will lost the 60Hz so the games will be a 20% slower, only what can do is waiting to other revision that fix this, but... your Wii U is pal? mine's is NTSC and that happend to me when I tried to load a PAL game.

Thanks for the reply. Im using nintendont through normal Wii (PAL) and yes, I'm loading PAL games so I'll try to force them to NTSC.

Revision r75

I do only test with ntsc games on my ntsc wii with svideo cable so I didnt check out my wiiu or my component cables yet, maybe I'll do that on some day.
