You must make the controller.ini yourself with the information you obtain from HIDtest. It's a real pain at first but once you figure it out you can make them no problem.

And as for both adapters, you never know if they work or not unless you buy them.

Use r38 so we can figure out the source of your black screen
r38 say the same thing as r39 i just tried it. it said"fat device found or missing games dir!" what does that mean?

r38 only supports sd. Make sure you have a game in the right directory. Once you attempt to boot the game then tell me what kernel number you get

thx for the help bro but ill do this tommorow if your online ill tell you the outcome of it

how can i create a HID controller.ini? manually or with an HID Tool? idk what's the name of program

you need HIDtest which can be downloaded from the first post. You run it like any normal homebrew and note down what values change when you press buttons. Remember that the value starts at 0 and not 1.

It starts at 0 like this, NOT ONE:

00 11 22 33 44 55 66 77 88 99

the spot that changes is the value.

A=4,20

As example for the A button on a ps3 controller

So the A button is value 4, offset 20

so when you press the A button on hidTest your values will change to this:

00 00 00 00 20 00 00 00 00 00

That is value 4, offset 20

Analog sticks don't need offsets, just the value.

I recommend you use a premade controller.ini and just edit it.

don't forget to change the VID and PID on the controller.ini. You can find that information if you just read the HIDtest screen.

ok; so, the VID and PID are the same: 054C and 0268; i tested again with controller.ini (loading games with the ini on root of device USB HDD) and loading mario kart double dash, it says Init HID devices... *and freezes*

You have to use the back usb slot for your hid device if launching nintendont from usb (they have not yet added front usb slots on nintendont running from usb)

I have Y-USB Cable with HDD, I'm playing this on a Wii U

Then you'll need a USB extension cable for the Y-cable, one part (power) in the front, one (data) in the top back. Using the controller in the front port will happen, but probably not for a while.

Look on your gamepad when it errors and see if it gives you a kernel error number
no error. at selecting game (an example: mario kart double dash!) it loads perfectly, and it says Nintendont kernel looping, loading game..., instead of playing the game, my console auto-reboots immediately! so; no error code, it's just reboots automatically, thats rare :c

That sucks all you can do is troubleshoot the problem, sd card maybe i still think its your usb controller if i unplug mine wile in game it reboots the system do you know anyone with a original ps3 controller if so borrow it and try it just to see.

My Wii U auto-reboots skipping loading apploader and main.dol *seconds before playing*

if 3RD party controllers aren't allowed on Nintendont, seriously, that very very unfair! :c
