I get that its an alpha release and still has bugs. But it seems the overall majority of people have it working. Also I don't get why it does not work on my 2gb sandisk SD (Sandisk should be the generic blueprint for SD compatibility)

not always. as when i first started using DM (ages ago) i had to use and unpopular sd card untill compatability was worked on (im not compareing these 2 projects at all). same as emulated nand it wouldnt work at first on the more popular cards

That is what i am trying to explain, even homebrew that is completely finished has not got a 100% support for all the medium devices that exist, enclosures are often a problem...as example. So i would not be surprised if some hardware you are using causes this. It might not be your SD card at all that is the problem.
You say lots of people got it working, well i also see lots that fail on getting it to work for them.

I do get what you are saying. But considering Sandisk, Panasonic and Toshiba were first company's to produce SD cards it goes without saying that if you were going to create a program or device to support that hardware you would think that compatibility with those 3 brands would be first port of call. Anyway I eagerly await a beta release.

Funny! All my cards work with DML. Is there any other reason I would be getting the DSI error other than incompatible cards?
Does the Wind Waker game show up in DML too with the same folder configuration? In THEORY it should show up in both with no changes.

Anyone who has -1 kernel error has tried to compress (or convert, don't know what exactly DiscEx does) Zelda Wind Waker iso with DiscEX and then put the "GZLE01" folder in sd:/games/ path? I can't try it now because i'm not at home 'till saturday and i have no Wii here..

Anyway to put zelda id and info in a luigi´s mansion iso to play? I sell my wii and want to play on my wiiU.

Some people tried stuff like that early on in the thread, but it sounds like it wasn't worth it. At this point, Wind Waker is probably the only game that's close to playable. You're better off waiting for it to actually support more games.

This project looks really interesting and with a ton of potential.

Long live GameCube and thank you to those involved in this.

Hi
I don't want be a negative person but, I don't believe crediar will finish this project. Seriously.
Why not make a better DIOS MIOS?
It would just be great if DIOS MIOS run the games with streaming sound and NMM. That would be great, we would play all GC games...

Besides vWii mentioned above there's also the family edition Wiis that don't have GameCube controller ports. There's also the fact that DIOS MIOS has VERY limited programming memory to work with for DIOS MIOS which makes it IMPOSSIBLE to add anything more that's very complicated at all (This means no USB controllers, no audio streaming, no Bluetooth controls, to networking, etc.

DM(L) is basically at the best it's gonna get.

Just to confirm: will this support DiscEX-converted games or just ISO format?

Nobody knows yet... except crediar and alpha / beta testers maybe..

We can make a pretty good guess based on the features Crediar considered important enough to go into DIOS MIOS. But yeah, absolutely no way to confirm it.

Can't wait for this! Sure hope it supports compressed copies of games since all of mine are compressed....
