Ok guys, I got a weird one.

My Wii U Pro controller is genuine, it works in the Wii U menu.
I've tried allot of games, and they all work fine. Some times (like 1/20), it wont connect, and I have to restart my WiiU.
This is not a problem.

HOWEVER, with Mario Kart Double Dash!! it just won't work. Like, it works 1/20 of the time, the other way around. And it's REALLY frustrating, because, let's face it, MKDD!! is awsome.
I've tried with 2.r208 and 2.r204, and when on r208 it tells me it's the newest version, so that can't be it.

I thought it had to be something wrong with the ROM (Let's just say I don't know how to rip my own disc, and leave it at that), so I downloaded lots of copies, from different sites, torrents, usenet and in different formats (.ngc, .iso at least) and regions (PAL, NTSC-U). Still the same problem.
The Pro controller lights blue on LED#1, and the Wii-mote lights up on all 4. And the WiiU controller says "Wii software cannot be controlled with the Wii U Gamepad".

Can ANYONE help me? :) I'm trying to connect wirelessly, in chase that wasn't clear.
I start Nintendont from the HBC.

I've tried fiddering around with the settings some, but nothing I do seems to work. It's just totally random.
've also tried booting the game without the Pro controller synced, then pressing the powerbutton so it syncs after the game loads, while it loads, before it loads, and loading it WITH the pro-controller, and with the pro-controller without the Wiimote connected.

i got a fake wiiu pro controller and i can use it on wiiu menu and wiiu gmaes just fine that doesnt make any controller official.

have you sucefully used your wiiu pro controller on other nintendont games? if not its becuase your not syncing them right.

Syncing the wiiu pro controller

on the vwii menu ress sync on both the wiiu and the wiiu pro controller it will flash and then do something when its done of course the controller wont work on vwii menu or homebrew channel but its just synced in behind the curtains.

lauch nintendont and then press any button on the wiiu pro controller to activate it like A then choose your game and see if it works.

I recently updated to Nintendont v2.207 and am experiencing some issues regarding the video setting in Nintendont. First some info on my setup:

- Nintendont v2.207 (updated from Version 2.198)
- Normal black PAL Wii with GameCube Ports
- Hooked to the TV using component cable
- Booting games directly through Nintendont

the problem I'm experiencing is the following:

Before updating to v2.207, there was no need for me to adjust either the "Video" or the "Videomode" settings. I left the "Video" setting on "Auto", and all games, whether PAL or NTSC would boot fine this way.

Now after I updated to v2.207, my TV would loose the video signal after starting any PAL game, but the wii would not shut down. So I assume the game still loaded, I just couldn't see it due to having no video signal. I thought this was rather strange since I should be able to boot a PAL game without forcing any Videomode, right? I went and checked the Video setting, it was still set to auto. Tried booting a PAL game again, since I thought that maybe it was a one time only thing. But again my TV lost the video signal after booting the game. Tried other PAL games as well. Same result.

Then I finally set the Video option to "Force" and the Videomode to "PAL60" and everything started working again.

While I have no problem with enabling a simple setting, I just wanted the Nintendont devs to know that something seems to be not working right. So if somebody wants to fix the problem and needs some more info, feel free to ask.

Edit:

And I forgot something. I read through the changelogs of all Nintendont versions starting from 2.198 to 2.207 and noticed that in 2.204 the setting to force video modes was fixed. I'm no dev and not even something close to a programmer so I can only make assumptions, but maybe that is where the auto Video setting got broken in the first place?

Same here and same problem with 480p r2.207. Games running but no signal. Force PAL60 or PAL50 working, but not Progressive! Would be cool to fix that and adding "Force 480p PAL & NTSC" too.

I've noticed an issue when max pad is set to 4 and using 1 wiimote+ClassicController, no gamecube controllers are used it doesn't sync the wiimote it just lights up all 4 leds I changed my max pads to 2 and it works without an issue.
Maybe it's the same with the wiiu controller they are both bluetooth connections so maybe this will help you out.

I tried this, re-synced it, but still the problem persists.

I'll try this when the kids go to sleep. Just picked them up from kindergarden.

Anyway, I've ordered a Mayflash adapter. Will this make any difference? Or do I not need it now that Nintendont have BT support?

Also, when I get my Mayflash adaptor, can I sync my Ouya controllers? I got 3 of them, so that would be awsome! :)

I tried setting the max pads setting to 2, and it worked the first time.
I was so shocked I instantly tried rebooting my WiiU to doublecheck that it wasn't a fluke.
However, it was.
Now it won't work again.
Tried 5 more times, and still nothing. Tried setting it to 4, then 2 again, just to see what happened. But still nothing. :/

EDIT:
It works great with Luigis Manson, Mario Sunshine, MGS Twin Snakes, Resident Evil 4, those are the other games I've tried. It's ONLY Mario Kart DD!! that won't work.

I'll post a solution if I find one, however long it will take. However if I haven't posted a solution, that means I'm still looking for it. So untill then, please help, however old this post is. I got mail notification on everything I post.

I have a similar issue. All my games are in 480i and 480p only registers on my tv if i enable progressive. Ntsc on wii with component cables.

mayflash adater for wiiupro is useless ever since the nintendont supports bt controllers.

I have no issue playing Mario Kart: Double Dash with my Wii U Pro controller on my Wii U. I have an NTSC Wii U 5.2.0 using an NTSC version of Mario Kart.

What are your settings for MKDD? Like, native controller? max pads? if you could just list EVERYTHING, that would be great!
:)

Left everything as default except for EmuMem with 251 blocks and USB and HID as OFF. Can't do native control as I am using a Wii U. I usually set Max Pads to 1 since I am playing by myself.

EDIT: Only thing I can think of is that your Wii Remote is being set as controller 1. When I plan on using Nintendont, I turn on my Wii U with my Wii U Pro Controller and let it be controller 1. Once the first light is on on the Wii U Pro Controller, THEN I press a button on the Wii Remote and let it be controller 2. Otherwise if the Wii Remote is controller 1, I can't use the Wii UPro Controller at all as player 1.

Thanks :)
Still won't work though :p

I tried through CFG USBLoader, left everything to default, and that worked 1(!!) time. And for some reason so far the only game I've got working with the controller through CFG USBLoader is Mario Sunshine. The rest I have to boot through Nintendont itself. Except for Mariokart dd, which wont work whatever I do.

I guess I'll just have to wait for an update that might fix it, or maybe Mayflash does something magic, if I connect my Pro controller through it. I'll just have to wait for my package to arrive.

This is really starting to piss me off :/

Does anyone know if Ouya controllers will ever be supported?

Hi, I've been using Nintendont for a short while here. I was previously using Dios-Mios but had a lot of unexplained issues with some games.

Anyway, I had an issue regarding Luigi's mansion sound effects and music not playing at all during gameplay (except for the intro cutscene and the "beep" noise the gameboy horror mades when pausing the game).
I'm using r207. My Iso is NTSC compresed using DiscEx -c, and I'm using a wii model 001, gamecube controler and no memory card emulation loading from cfg usb loader.
Is there something I can do to fix it or should I just change the version to the previous-last working version?

I mean... The compatubility list says it can be compressed, so... Am I the only one with that problem? I haven't tried other compresion methods yet. But The less the space it needs, the better (that's why I'm asking before even trying 1:1)

Your problem is probably the disc compression. I really don't recommend it since it can cause problems.

2.208 is up

-Fixed loaders inability to set video modes introduced in 2.204
The first time you start this version If you are starting it from the homebrew channel set the video mode.
This should fix black screens people were seeing in 2.204 - 2.207 that didn't occur in 2.03
Awesome!
One other thing.
What about the blackscreens that are occurring between NTSC and PAL?
Some games do not boot on a Wii U until they are set to Force NTSC (Wii U and ISO both PAL) and Force PAL (Wii U and ISO both NTSC).
The clear examples are the FIFA and Medal of Honor games. There is further notes about that in the Comp. List.

Fixed my issues on my games. Thank you.

Thanks so much for this fix. There is still an issue with some PAL games, Metroid 1 + 2, and Star Wars: Rogue Squadron 3 black screen from 2.206 onwards for PAL versions, at least for me anyway

Edit: I would really appreciate it if someone with the PAL versions of theses games would confirm this so I can be confident editing the compat list

I just looked at the compatability list. I dont see anything like this listed for the MOH games. Maybe they were fixed
the FiFa games that showed this problem were all last tested with 2.180 Their have been lots of changes sence then. maybe they have been fixed as well. The only way to know is for someonr to test them.
