Then try with revisions earlier than 80. I get black screen with 1.98 so I guess it's just a matter of finding which revision broke it.

I think i wasn't clear enough, i tried both 1.44, the version which added compatibility for that game, and 1.80, the most stable version so far, if you look back in this thread there is people who report that this game is working in both of those revisions, i just mentioned 1.94 because that is the version in which the mod bm123456 recommended me was based on, and i shouldn't need that mod because other games already run fine in my family edition Wii. Only this one is blackscreeing me.

I know what you said and i told you that in newer revisions it still gives a black screen, so the logical conclusion is that it was broken before 1.80 . So try earlier revisions until you find one that works. I'll see if i can get 1.44 and 1.80 to see if it's a problem on your end

But I tried 1.44 (which was the one that fixed the game), and it still doesn't works, so i think it is a bit more specific problem.

Edit: Thank you for help me seeing if the problem is in my end :)

I tried both revisions with the font_ansi.bin in the root of my hdd and I still got a blackscreen.. I'm using a family edition as well, so it could be a factor here, but i'm not so sure. Just like yours, mine works with dolphin so the iso should be fine.

I think that you need to use official scene releases to do a correct test of the games with Nintendont.
NGC scene database: (some releases from LaKiTu team are missed).
Internet has so much bad dumps, rip versions and garbage from people without enough knowledge.

I was about to tell you that you shouldn't post that kind of link in this forum because giving sources to roms and iso downloads is against the rules. But apparently that site only gives links to the gamestop website (and none of the links work anyways.) so i guess it's partly okay... Mods might still hide it though.

 abgx.net is a database only. No links to games.

but compatibilty lists says the same thing, can it be fixed

It might be fixed at some point, but surely it won't be faster if you keep begging the devs to do it. Their goal is to get good compatibility with all the games, so it might in a few months or even later, just wait until it's fixed.

Spyro: A Hero's Tail gets a black screen in v1.80 even with font_ansi.bin or ipl.bin, but it is noted as working in the compatibility list.

A bit of extra details.

Game Region: US
Wii firmware: 4.3U
Wii Family Edition
Nintendont versions tested: 1.80 and 1.44
Video: Tried Auto and all of the Force options, still black screen.
Mem. Emu: Black screen being On or Off.
Progressive: Off
Widescreen: Off
Controller: HID

I've read in the thread that the game supposedly runs fine, my dump is verified and also works on dolphin.

Am I doing something wrong on my end or is it something about my Wii being a Family Edition?

It works fine for me on 1.80.

Is it a Family Edition Wii by any chance?

oups nope :P I use a WiiU XD this game also caused a lot of problem for me. In fact, it is a dump made of my own, 3 different times, finaly did one working (made with cIOS game dumeper 1.2 (Old software) ) and Version 1.80 IS the version which worked for me.

Hm... Just as i thought, everything points that it is the Family Edition Wii, but it is just too weird, why would it cause that problem?

I don't know  We need more reports from wii family edition users, to know if one of those had this game working.

I have a crash on Zelda WW that is incredibly annoying. It has crashed 3 for 3 at the exact same point. During the start of the End Credits it locks up (right when "STAFF CREDITS" is in the middle of the screen).
I'm getting tired of beating the game over and over without being able to get past the credits. What version of Nintendont can I use just to get past this point and save?

Game: Legend of Zelda Wind Waker
Game Region: PAL
Wii firmware: 4.3E
Wii Original Version
Nintendont versions tested: 1.80 and 1.99
Video: Auto
Mem. Emu: On
Progressive: On
Widescreen: On
Controller: Gamecube

I don't recall anyone posting about beating the game yet. Nintendont is a great project but it obviously has room for improvement, and new versions might even break the games that were working before, so I haven't tried to play a complete game. The only thing I could suggest is to keep trying with earlier revisions and see if it worked at some point. Maybe it's a freeze that was always there and people just didn't find it.
