I did do HID test, it would not be recognized by it unless it was in DirectInput mode, but the controller.ini requires that it's in XInput mode.

It could sound stupid, but, use it in XInput mode, I don't know how it works because I use a USB PC Controller, that controller to works need to be in analog mode, it's something similar?

I found the problem, turns out when attempting to download the ini I downloaded the whole github page instead, so I just copied the config text to a file and now it works (boy, that was stupid of me.) It should be noted that the adapter should be used in DirectInput mode in order for it to be recognized, though. The error is present when in XInput mode but things work fine in DInput.

Do you have it on Xinput or Direct Input? Direct Input uses the HID which is used by nintendont, Xinput uses the proprietary XBOX protocol. Make sure its on the right one.

So, the controller.ini was the problem, good to know now it is fixed :), the next time I will ask for the controller.ini...

Newbie question:

Just got my Wii U and I have not hacked it in any way possible. Can I just put in boot.dol on an usb memory and it will work? Or does I need USBloader or something? Haven't done this shit since Nintendo Wii.

No, because you need to install the homebrew channel to use homebrew apps.

Edit: well, according to the wiibrew wiki, I guess you can run homebrew apps if you use the exploits every time, but installing the homebrew channel is the more logic way to go.

Most apps can be run via exploit with the corresponding boot.elf but Nintendont is one of the very few apps that you actually need to install the homebrew channel for. I believe it was because of the AHB PROT

Not sure if Casper works with vWii, but you could possibly use Casper + CBoot2 or Bootmii's ppcboot.elf instead + some sort of DOL loader that supports AHBPROT being disabled to load Nintendont.

where can i download version 1.56?, i was using that one for Luigi's mansion, but now that i updated it, it freezes at a certain spot in the game (my brother is playing it, i don't know where in the game exactly), and i'm pretty sure it has better compatibility with Super Mario Sunshine, and Pac-man World 3, so if anyone knows, please tell me, version 1.86 isn't good for me.

Thanks so much for the fast help.

I've been having this problem with nearly every single game. When I have memory card emulation on, most games won't work. They'll either freeze with a blaring beeping tone as soon as a save file is created, or, if a file creation is successful, the game will just hang on a black screen after starting a new game.

Is there any solution to this?
