Oh, sorry! I'm using normal Wii. Not the vWii on Wii U. I have no such adapter. Just slotted it into the GameCube controller slot (out of the four) on the Wii. After realising the GameCube controller ain't official (this is why you don't trust your parents with 'cheapest deals' :/), could it just be that? It somehow works in Crash Tag Team Racing but no other games.

By port 1, I assume you mean the physical (or is this a file in Nintendont I missed?) I dunno if you mean the physical. I just put it in the one farthest away from the disk drive. Should it be in the one closest to?

Thanks for the help, @pedro702 :)
the closest to the disc drive is port 1... so put it there lol problem solved, most games do not allow controllers on port 2 and up to be readed unless they are multiplayer games that were coded with that in mind.

Okay! Any idea why it worked in the Crash game? A bug, maybe?
nope, most multiplayer games have code for all 4 ports, it would work in smash bros too among others, it depends on what the devs coded, most games do not let you control it using port 2 and up unless you are on the multiplayer portion of it.

yeh I've searched Google and found only 1 other persone with the issue in a forum with no answer....what HDD brand are you guys using?

im using a USB 2.0 500GB WD HDD for my Wii (not WiiU).. it runs GC perfectly..no issues at all..running default settings on latest versions of USBLoaderGX+Nintendont..tho i've only tested Soulcalibur II, Super Mario Sunshine and The Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition and Twilight Princess..i used Bootice to delete extra and hidden partitions on my hdd and made it primary+active FAT32 as i had issues before and have to rely on my 16GB memory card but after my hdd was properly formatted it runs GC fine now..

I'll check bootice out, never heard of it, maybe I have hidden partitions or stuff in my HDDs

you can find the download link of Bootice within the vWii Hack guide for WiiU on the threads here..
I'll give it a try now thanks

EDIT: Everything seems to be fine but I'm backing up my games to reformat with BOOTICE....should I use U-Stealth with the Wii?

what @pedro702 said is correct, it is not needed if you are using the original actual Wii.. it is only needed for WiiU because of that HDD "format nag" when you are using the WiiU side to prevent accidental format and get rid of that annoyance too.. Bootice is all you need for your HDD right now..

@yadspi just transfer 1 game to test it, otherwise will take you ages if you transfer your whole library, until it is confirmed on your end that it is now fully working..also, don't tinker much with the settings, the default is pretty much all you need..

Too late lol! But it's almost done, just 7 more minutes....I don't know why I transferred all of them

I don't think so...it happens on the 2 I have and also a 128gb flash drive. The games are alright, I even redumped them , and they work perfectly on the 32gb drive

its defenitely your drives that are imcompatible with nintendont then, there isnt much we can do tough, try another hdd from a friend or something, also flashdrives are always very picky ever since wii days some work some dont even from the same brand so yeah they arent very reliable i got 3 flashdrives from datatraveler and 1 works and 2 dont.
