Oh man , you are waaay behind on nintendont again, maybe you should reread the 1st page again, it has loads of information about controllers , bios , etc.

Also AbdallahTerro, why does he need the mod again? The demo should run with the original NINTENDONT also right?
I made the mod skip bios for game IDs starting with "D4" which is mainly used for zelda injects, most of the time we get black screens when injects run with bios or wrong region message

Hi devs,

I proposed few month ago to add a feature for mapping buttons as user want (like it exists in wii64 and wiisx).
This is very useful because a lot of car games are unplayable with manual gearbox due to a stupid choice of the game developpers (+ and - shift buttons are at not easy to use, even with the original gamecube pad).

no dev answer to me on this subject, so I don't know if it will appear one day in nintendont or not :-(
I ask it now because I see that there is no very useful new features for the moment. Last addition were just for fun (BIOS support, update versions strings, ...)

After 1 hdd, 3 flash pen drives and one sd card, I found a pen drive fast enough that works wonders with Nintendont :)

Hi everyone, I wanted to let you know what I discovered using Nintendont with usb/sd.

I thought it was really weird that my 8GB usb pen drive (sandisk cruzer) wasn't working properly with Nintendont. The issue was: stuttering, delayed audio, long loading times the first time you launch the game etc.

As I already said, I found a pen drive that works w/out issues, and it's an emtec 16GB. From windows, I performed a usb speed test (read/write speed, from the same port obviously) and the emtec was SLOWER than cruzer. After all, I was using this cruzer pen with usb loader gx and wii games, so it can't be that slow.

It seems like Nintendont has problems with usb/sd smaller than 16GB. At least, that's my experience. I tried a 2GB samsung microsd (through sd adapter), three usb pen drives (from 2GB to 8GB), every one of them gave the same problems. Tried this emtec pen 16GB and a 16GB sandisk microsd, they work perfectly.

Of course I formatted every pen drive/sd in fat32 multiple times but that wasn't the problem.

That would explain a few things, as I'm using a 16GB Cruzer. VinsCool probably is using either a 16 or 32GB one

As I stated, that's my experience. I'm getting an hdd anyway (obviously bigger than 16GB :D ) so no big issue. Please note that not every game was unplayable: Luigi's Mansion was still good despite some little audio problems while Sunshine stuttered like hell during custscenes.

Just don't get a Western Digital made after 2013 (or was it '14?... Just not made recently). The enclosure does something funky with the encryption that Nintendont doesn't like

I imagine you are referring to the My Passport Ultra line of hard drives, which do have encryption. The WD Elements Portable line does not have encryption and the one I got a few months ago works fine.

I imagine you are referring to the My Passport Ultra line of hard drives, which do have encryption. The WD Elements Portable line does not have encryption and the one I got a few months ago works fine.

Right, I was referring to the Passports (I actually forgot about the Elements line for a minute there :shy:)

A while ago, I bought one SanDisk Cruzer, and it was sooooo slow that it was practically DOA. I quickly returned it and switched to SD cards in USB readers instead of pen drives.

EDIT: It you get an EP (Extreme Performance) SD card, it can be so fast that the card is no longer the speed-limiting factor.

Nintendont has had support for fully customized button mapping since day 1

Hi Adeka,

Are you sure that it is possible to map buttons of my gamecube controller and/or classic controller ??? I didn't know that, sorry.
I didn't see any information about that on 1st post, but it's maybe my bad english level... How can I do that please ?
for information, I use nintendont on a Wii threw homebrew channel if it's important.

Of course, I would prefer with a GUI, but if there is another solution, it's good for me (but probably not for all users...)

That's just a waste of dev time. You can set up your custom button mapping when your setting up Nintendont for the first time.

Maybe it's not the opinion of everybody, but I think this is less a waste of time to add this feature than boot the bios !!!
A central GUI for all types of controllers (USB, bluetooth, gamecube native port, ...) should be easier to use for everybody in comparison with editing text files each time you want to plug a new USB (and only USB) controller.

I think he means through a GUI, and with bluetooth controllers as well

The bios was actually heavily requested and is one of the most used features now.

Gamecube ports cannot be changed. The GameCube adapter has fully customized button mapping

classic controller (via bluetooth) can have the ABXY buttons rotated by pressing minus. If your using the classic controller as HID then all buttons can be fully customized.

Maybe, but it's just cosmetic and not very useful...
Even if I like a lot too the gamecube logo and the music, I don't use it because IT IS REALLY AN OBJECTIVE WASTE OF TIME (you loose 5 seconds before playing.) ! lol

There is a use, if small. You can use it to manage the saves on the virtual memory card, if you're using a single unified one. Other than that, yeah it's mostly aesthetic. Video games, though, can be considered an objective waste of time and it's optional, so I don't see the big deal.
