Posting this to assist a friend. I've successfully modded his console with everything up to date:

Nintendont 5.476
Rev1262 IOS249 (Rev 21008)
(d2x v8final base57)

GameCube games are showing USB Loader GX, but when attempting to boot one, I'm receiving the error message:

"Nintendont requires AHB access! Please launch USBGX from HBC or from an updated channel or forwarder."

Any suggestions or advice is always appreciated!

EDIT: Also when attempting to boot from Nintendont, occasionally get an error message of:

"CheckForMultiGameAndRegion() = failed"

But after backing out and rebooting Nintendont again, the problem resolves itself.

Nintendont needs a stock (unpatched) IOS 58. It doesn't use a cIOS. If your IOS 58 has had the Trucha bug restored or is CIOSCORP that may be the problem. It should show up as "IOS58 (rev 6176): USB 2.0" in a SysCheck report.

GreyWolf, you were correct. Ran a SysCheck, and it in fact does say exactly that. I also ran one on my personal Wii, and it has the exact same thing.

Where do I go from here? How do I fix this Trucha bug? And as always, thank you for all your help!

EDIT: Here is the SysCheck. Also noticed a few near the end.

You don't want the Trucha bug. That should be fine.

Make sure your Nintendont meta.xml has the <ahb_access/> tag in it under the <apps> tag somewhere.

Hmm, strange. I have to manually boot it from Nintendont. I was playing LoZ: Collector's Edition last night, specifically Majoras Mask, and maybe an hour in the screen went black and the TV produced a loud buzzing sound, causing me to hold the power button to power off. Have you heard of that issue, or should I create a new thread entirely?

If the drive has a configuration tool make sure all power saving features and any encryption is turned off. That makes it sound like the drive is going to sleep once the game is running.

I ended up getting a bigger drive to combine my Wii and GameCube backups, and that fixed any issue I ever had. It's been working flawlessly every since.
I am using a 2 TB Hdd now but just a few days ago I was using a 32 GB USB and it was working fine. Do you know what you done to fix your issue?

Fixed this issue with a fresh install of USBLoader GX and (USB Loader GX-UNEO_Forwarder_5_1_AHBPROT_vWii (Fix).wad). So if anyone still needs this fixed that's how I did it. Maybe a hit or miss situation but definitely give it a try.
