So i was a proud wii homebrew user for about a year but then my old pendrive started having connection issues (wasn't a wii problem, it was an usb problem). So i bought a new one. Formatted it to FAT32 and used wbfs manager to move my games just to make sure it all works fine. But then when i tried to play one it turned into a black screen. I messed around for a bit and found out the black screen doesn't show up exclusively when i try to play games from USB Loader GX but also when i just try to leave it (For example when i go to Homebrew or Wii Menu it also turns into a black screen). I tried searching for some anwsers (i even checked the compatibility of my pendrive) and tried some different methods but none of them worked. That's why i deccided to post this thread because right now im clueless and would love to play Mario Party 8 with some friends this Saturday.

Here's my syscheck:

The syscheck looks quite good, besides there are alot of cios which seems not necessarry any more. The homebrew stuff runs mainly on ios 58 and cios 249/250/251.

When specific do you get a black screen? Only after you launched USB Loader GX or also before if you launch a application e.g. homebrew channel?

In first attemed i would say update the USB LoaderGX .dol to 1272 and set loader ios to 58 and use cios 251 with base 58.

And as formely information, Flashdrives doesnt work very well and there is no good compatibility. If there are only wii games on it, you might format it with wbfs filesystem.

If its USB Loader GX specific issue check this USB Loader GX Troubleshooting guide
