Nintendo will retain Cloud Save Data for 6 months after Cancellation

Nintendo has confirmed in a statement by a representative to IGN that cloud save data will be stored for 6 months after the subscription lapses.
Here's a quote from the representative below:

"If a Nintendo Switch Online membership expires, users won’t be able to access their Save Data Cloud backups. However, Nintendo will allow users who resubscribe within 180 days to access their previous Save Data Cloud backups," the Nintendo spokesperson said

It's nice to see that they addressed this issue, at the very least. Hopefully this is a good indicator of Nintendo being responsive to user complaints, leading to an at least decent enough online service in the future.
