Nintendo wanted to pretend for a few days that the Wii Remote Plus featured on the FlingSmash boxart wasn't real. They wouldn't comment on the situation, and pretty much ignored what had been found. The listing was even removed from GameStop, but it was too late. The info was out there and the word had already spread.

Today, Nintendo confirms that the device is indeed real. Unfortunately, that's all the information we get. While Nintendo has said that the Wii Remote Plus does indeed exist, they wouldn't discuss any other details outside of that. Looks like the Big N isn't yet ready to reveal all the details around this Wiimote revamp.

So what happens if you plug a motion plus unit to it?

Same thing if Kirby absorbed another Kirby, the universe would collapse on itself....or nothing

Correction, when Kirby swallows another Kirby, he regains his ability to suck up another person/thing.

Why, the idea is not bad. Might be a good purchase for those, who don't have a M+ yet. I have 2 though and is happy with them.

Woot can't wait for this, hopefully it has built-in WM+ so I don't have to buy that.
Isn't that the point of this new Wiimote? I haven't got WM+ anyway and I don't plan on getting it. The only game that uses it that I know is Wii Sports Resort. I might buy myself one if Skyward Sword needs it, though. (And it probably will.)

Unless it is more accurate than standard setup, I'll pass.

Nintendo should have pushed this one out, instead of Motion Plus.
