Yesterday I was trying to get a EmuNAND up and running, so I followed the steps with ModMii (see details below) and built it. I tried to launch Neek20, but I kept getting met with this code.
NSwitch Code
nSwitch u4.2 (c) 2011 - 2015 Over joY
Built: Jan 16 2015 22:30:03
Checking patches... Done!
Mounting USB device... done!
Checking MBR...
Found "FAT" partition (55aa)
Checking for kernel.bin... found!
kernel. bin size: 220792
Loading kernel. bin into memory...
done!
Patching ES module... Done!
And then my screen would just freeze, I turned my system on and off a couple of times and ran it for a bit to see if it would work and run with no luck, it seemed to me that the screen was frozen. My Wii Remoted had disconnected also, so I would always turn my system off. (Completely no standby.) One time I tried, and I left it on for about 10 minutes, which nothing changed so I turned it off and when I turned the system back on, and my (Black, Wii Motion Plus) Wii Remote didn't pair. I was pretty confused because everything looked the same, and so I paired a spare Wii remote (White) to the system and did some digging.
Even when I turned off the system the white Wii remote would always pair and the black one wouldn't. I think it's because the white one is paired to the EmuNAND, and the black to the original NAND. I feel like I'm locked in some NAND middle ground where the system recognizes the EmuNAND for Wii Remote Pairing, but not the system menu. Here's where it gets weird.
I have USB Loader GX set to autoboot within priiloader, I have it currently set to where it only shows EmuNAND channels. When my console boots up USB loader the entire menu comes up glitched, it says that there are 100 titles (I have only installed about 36 on the EmuNAND with ModMii) and then the titles don't show up on the list. Additionally, the covers don't load and launching any of these titles result in an autoboot to the homebrew menu.
From there if I go back into USB Loader GX the titles show up normally, however launching any of them put my console into a black screen, which I can only get rid of by turning the console back off and on, and then the cycle repeats. Likely due to the fact that neek20 isn't fully running (but tbh idrk).
Okay let's say I turn off my console, turn it back on and then from USB Loader GX go straight to my Wii Menu, the channels from their work and load. The N64 channels (I have a lot of them, none of them custom) work fine. When you click on them, they show up with the white and blue background along with the year released and player count. I boot them up and there is no delay or download it just lets me right in.
I don't have any themes on my regular system menu, or on my EmuNAND.
Neek inputs don't work on my main menu (1 / 2 buttons on Wii Remote)
USB Loader GX lets me boot my System NAND contents just fine.
Whenever I try to boot up neek20 and or nSwitch I'm met with the identical code above, however there is no change.
My paths for my EmuNAND are set in USB loader GX (Channel path and saves path are usb1/nand)
I built my EmuNAND using ModMii 8.04
Built sneek + EmuNAND
Rev. 96
Region U
UNEEK + DI
setting.txt built using this serial: ************
nSwitch Channel Installed
Homebrew Channel Installed
postLoader Channel Installed
cIOS249 rev14 Installed
NMM (No More Memory-Cards) Installed
I use a SDHC SD card (I use this for my 3ds and my Wii) and a Maxone USB 3.0 SCSI Disk Device (512 GB, used to store EmuNAND, and Wii / Gamecube games.) Both have 1 partition and are formatted to FAT 32, USB drive is MBR. 32kb clusters for both.
I've done a bit of research but there isn't much out there and even less that's up to date / in my language. Right now, I'm pretty stuck and could use some advice. If anyone needs any more information let me know and I'll be happy to share. I am not too familiar with EmuNAND, and this is my first time doing this. Ideally, I would be able to launch the games in my EmuNAND, and be able to switch between them using Neek20 / nSwitch (also getting back to original NAND for Wii Remote Pairing.) Can anyone help?
