The cursor shows up when i press the home button and i can move around when i plug in the classic controller or nunchuck(i also switched my loader ios to 58) but when i enter a game or use the homebrew browser i cant leave through the pause menu and can only go through by turning the wii off. and when i tried to make a mii in the mii channel the remote stopped working expect for the home button and i still couldn't leave through the pause menu. My wii remote and classic conntroller are OEM but my nunchuck is third party.

Double check your sensor bar. I am guessing just one of the lights is busted. I've had this happen where certain apps/menus work (but not great) with one light, and others won't work at all

With the sensor bar powered on, hold a camera to it and you can more easily see if it's emitting light. Or just replace your sensor bar with 2 strategically positioned candles (just to test, not as a permanent solution, although it would technically work just fine this way)

The sensor bar lights are only on one side but it doesn’t seem to affect anything, just the mii channel, some homebrew stuff and the pause menus in them

Strange. Are you sure the candles were positioned properly to simulate a fully working sensor bar? I still think this is a sensor bar issue, but if u try a brand new sensor bar, or borrow a friend's, and it's still failing, I'm out of ideas. Sorry I couldn't be more help, good luck!

Wasn’t a sensor bar issue at all, something I completely overlooked😂

I went to loader settings and where it said return to I put UNEO USB Loader GX and I thought that fixed it because everything was working like it was supposed but after a while the problem started up again. It’s definitely not a problem with the sensor bar because it works in the normal Wii menu but anything homebrew related the cursor/pointer and pause menu just doesn’t work

I am telling u, I had this EXACT same problem, where it worked in some menus but not others, and it was due to only a single light on the sensor bar working. I called that from the beginning just based on your symptoms and u confirmed this to be the case with your bar too. In my case, when I used a different sensor bar it fully resolved my issue. The difference here is that you're saying it didn't work for you. Given you haven't tried another sensor bar, but rather 2 candles, I think there's a possibility you didn't test the sensor bar issue enough to rule it out. It's as if you're claiming the wii was made to run with just one working light on the sensor bar or something. I assure you, the 2nd light isn't just a backup in case the the other dies 😂. Is it so hard to believe that it requires both lights working, just like it was designed, and if one is broken you might have some unexpected results like this?

I hope u get it fixed, regardless of what it turns out to be. But please do try a different sensor bar with both lights working and let me know if I'm right or wrong about this, I'm curious.
