Clearly they mean solder to the copper on the screw hole, no one should solder directly to a screw for a GND connection.

My sc card module doesnt have a capacitor, is there a way for me to still hardwire it?

Thanks. Works fine. Now I'd like to fit it into my switch but was wondering if it's okey to cut from the red line and get rid of the cable. Is it safe to do so?
