Hi!!

I've done many chip installations and none have failed me. This time, after installing the chip, I connected the battery and plugged it into the Type-C port to turn it on. The chip went through its initial startup routine and everything seemed fine. I proceeded to mount the motherboard back into the console, but after connecting everything, it won't turn on. I've removed the dat0 point, tried another flex, attempted to power on without anything connected, but it still won't turn on. There's no light on the chip and the console doesn't show the OFW startup. Can anyone help me? The diode mode values are listed here:

Black ground
SP1 .20 .00
Sp2 .20 .00
A .698
RST 2.943
C .705
D .616
3.3v .803

Red ground
A .486
RST .408
C .442
D .460
3.3v .452

I'm uploading some pictures.

Thanks!!!

If you lifted this up or severe the connection it will not boot anymore.

I think that the point D it’s fine.
I have scratched a bit and tested with multimeter and I have continuity and I am getting a value which look correct. How can I test it?

Are you sure you haven't grounded the point?

You said your chip isn't powering on, have you checked your battery?
What should I check from the battery? Between black and red wires it has 4.09v. Something else?

The problema was with the flex cable. I have installed it using aw36 and all right!

I just installed v6 on my oled. All diode values are correct but the switch won’t power on. No lights on the mod chip either. Redid the 3.3v just in case and consistently get correct values but still no power. Please help.

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.
