That's not how it works. We need to inject code via fack update with a proper signature, but then Security chip can just block illegal instructions.
I am not sure the new security chip would stay idle when an exploit happens.Citation needed.

What "security chip"? And do you really think there's some magic function that lets it know that an "exploit" is running?I am not sure the new security chip would stay idle when an exploit happens.
Instructions beyond user land causes this security chip to forcefully reset the system. What "security chip"? And do you really think there's some magic function that lets it know that an "exploit" is running?
Mind explaining how the "security chip" knows if the main CPU is running instructions "beyond user land"?Instructions beyond user land causes this security chip to forcefully reset the system.
The instruction is also sent to the security chip (multiple level possibly). When it realize the function is not supposed to accessible by user, it creates an error of sorts and force you to reboot. There are multiple smart phones that uses this design.Mind explaining how the "security chip" knows if the main CPU is running instructions "beyond user land"?
That is a terrible design and would need a "security chip" that's basically identical to the main CPU.The instruction is also sent to the security chip (multiple level possibly). When it realize the function is not supposed to accessible by user, it creates an error of sorts and force you to reboot. There are multiple smart phones that uses this design.
if you give a mouse a cookie........Mind explaining how the "security chip" knows if the main CPU is running instructions "beyond user land"?
before piracy was a major thing on the 3ds (ie before free CFW was easily and readily available) homebrew gave us the ability to do things like run rom hacks, install custom themes, back up save games and use save editors to cheat, use emulators, and other various other things that could not be done without HBL.im sure i am just un-educated in this topic but... isnt the whole point of homebrew to pirate games? (i am gonna get flamed) i genuinely don't know the reason otherwise. What does homebrew enable if not pirating games?
i see people in this thread wanting homebrew, but not piracy.. whats the point of homebrew
