either help the situation at hand or read to help future errors. This isn't a thread to say i told you so.

Sorry. Forgot to edit my post. Personally, I knew this was going to happen. But, this will mark a point in time where people need to realize..Nintendo has the tools to ban your ass if you pirate games. I don't get why people thought Nintendo wasn't going to catch on.

many reviewers and other higher-ups already had the game for testing and reviewing purposes. It was logical that it was impossible to tell the difference

Wouldn't the reviewers have an actual cart with the correct update number on it?

Here's the thing me (And probably others who questioned whether Nintendo would issue bans) didn't know: The dump was incorrect.

The version number should never have been wiped to 0.0, that's a dead giveaway that it's an invalid version. That would make it oh so easy on Nintendo's part to ban everyone who used that version online, and is a very obvious difference between people using the dump, and people who had review copies.

How can we get a dump at the correct version? from freeshop after release?

Yes. Once it's there everything should be A-OK. Otherwise, wait until a dump is made where the number is not 0.
So I should dump my save and delete my current game. Wait for freeshop or use tikshop? What about my existing ban?

Yes, backup your save and delete your current version of the game. Once it's released, get it from your eShop CDN application of choice (The eShop, FreeShop, CIAngel, whatever). That version will have the correct data and version associated with it.

As for your current ban, cross your fingers and hope they are only temp bans.

@FIX94 @Cyan or any other mod, please front page for people not to go online with pokemon moon or sun as both the leaks have the version changed to .0 instead of .32 and even after launch you are going to get banned.
If you or any other member here on GBAtemp needs a warning specifically telling them not to go online early with a pre-released game, then you might want to reconsider your career of being a software pirate.

Can you access eshop/nnid related/pokemon bank? Or can you just play online?
when i go to nnid settings it says im banned, but i can download eshop games and play games online just fine. I'll test bank when it gets updated to work with gen 7
