Hello guys,

as you all maybe know in europe is currently quarantine time, so I thought ,,Hey I have an old Nintendo Dsi, thats a good way to spend my time with!‘‘
So, I started it and of course I gives me an error, what else to expect?

I figured out that it has to be a bootloader error and i found several threads on the internet regarding other error codes like 0000FEFE but none like mine.

If someone has an idea how to fix this, please leave your idea.

I appreciate every suggestion!
Thanks

Well… that does not look good.

If you did not write garbage data on the NAND it is very well possible this is spontaneous corruption due to age.

I've read that sometimes the WiFi chip might be the problem (Though I think this is limited to the error 0000FEFE). Try this:
  • Remove the battery, press the (Power) button a few times with battery and wait for some minutes before reinserting the battery.
  • Open the DSi (The shoulder button/SD assembly is connected to the motherboard. Separate the two halves carefully and slowly), remove the WiFi chip and plug it in again.
    • Try another WiFi chip
If nothing helps but you have created a backup of YOUR DSi console before, soldering/hardmod for restoring the image might do the trick. If the NAND chip just died (data corruption) this would require an unreasonable amount of work (and money, expensive equipment to replace it.

My guess is that you should look for another console. If money is a problem I recommend the older 2DS model; they are pretty cheap and can do MUCH more than a DSi.

Good luck in any case – and sorry for the pretty negative reply.

If somebody else got an idea or is able to correct me: Please do so.

As@KleinesSinchen says, try removing the WiFi card and then popping it back on.

It's a common fault, they seem to come off so easy when the DSi gets dropped, pretty bizarre considering the DSi is pretty tight and compact inside and there is little room for movement around the WiFi card with the lid on.
