This is what I meant with not having Automatic Updates mentioned (note that I'm no native speaker to Japanese, I'm learning the language).

I believe it's the last point.

In Japanese, ?? or ??????? means automatic. ???? means firmware update.

But what I sure can understand, is a piece of the latest press mail from Nintendo:

De systeemupdate geeft gebruikers ook de mogelijkheid om SpotPass content te ontvangen bij ondersteunde publieke WiFi hotspots in Europa en in de nabije toekomst kunnen gebruikers een gratis applicatie downloaden voor een video service welke het mogelijk maakt om speciaal geselecteerde video content, inclusief 3D filmtrailers, grappige filmpjes en officiële videoclips automatisch te ontvangen door de SpotPass-functie te benutten.
In this, it states that you can receive funny video's and official videoclips automatically, using SpotPass, so not updates.

Just got the update notice. "Firmware 2.0.0-2U will be available on the evening of June 6th."

"For a limited time*, you can download the 3D Classics: Excitebike™ game from Nintendo eShop for free!"

"New applications and functions for Nintendo 3DS in this update include:
-Nintendo eShop
-Internet Browser
-Transfer functionality to move DSiWare ™ from Nintendo DSi™/Nintendo DSi XL™ systems to the Nintendo 3DS system
-Automatic system updates
-Improved stability and performance of the overall system."

Guys guys guys, calm down about the Pokedex, remember Nintendo said there are "certain" features to unlock?? What if the Pokedex runs the same way as in games, like you fill your current Black/White Pokedex and Prof Oak or any other Prof from the games comes and gives you the National Dex?? Think guys.

Answer (just looked it up): 11:00am-1:00pm EST. So if I'm at school all day, it'll be available to download when I get home! Yay!

What do the UK get as a Movie viewer? anyone know?
We don't have Netflix in England...maybe ILoveFilm?....hmmm

Also about the time, if it's 6pm PST would that mean it'd be about 1am in the morning UK time?

I suspect we get some terrible Sky Movies pay-Murdoch-£35-a-month-to-watch-a-terrible-prequel-to-Hook-dot-co-dot-uk type effort.
My heart sank last year when I saw Nintendo were doing a deal with Sky

In the Spotpass notice I received it says that I have to go to Configuration-> Updates.. do I have to MANUALLY update?? I thought it was automatic!

Edit: I hope they at least send a warning saying that the update is ready.. I don't want to stay all night trying to do the update =/

Also, my spotpass says "noite de 6 de Junho" (July 6 at night), but I saw people here saying evening.. maybe it's like late evening?
... it doesn't matter, does it? xD It's probably like 6-7pm

I saw that item in the notification (automatic updates) and didn't understand it very well. I makes sense xD

They even can't, if you have instable WiFi access, and you're forcing an update to your 3DS, then your WiFi access will be very weak, or even go away, then your 3DS will be bricked.
I mean, same thing happened with Wii Menu 4.1 to 4.2, to many people.

You don't install the update until all the files needed are on your 3DS you know
