i keep checking...and checking...and checking...but sadly, no success. I'm very tempted to just get the Japanese version but i know i won't enjoy it as much.

You guys were actually expecting the U.S. release this early? Hmm...would certainly be nice, but I doubt we'll see it before Tuesday.

I wish I could have had the willpower to wait, but I'm already well through my second playthrough. I'll still be playing the English version, though, as soon as it's released. It's still amazing, and not knowing the dialogue doesn't really prohibit you from catching most of what's going on in the story, thanks to the gorgeous art presentation. But yeah, ideally I wish I would have waited to enjoy the full experience. I'm weak, though.

Love it but its a tad bit too easy.

if you beat it through the first time, doesn't it unlock a harder difficulty?

Sure does, and it's likely to be a good setting for NG vets. I tried it up to about the third chapter. The enemies have an increased fierceness and there are a whole lot more enemies that re-spawn. I didn't give up, but it was more resistance than what I care for. I might come back to it when I get my Gaiden chops honed, but right now it's pretty hard as you progress further into the game.

i dont see whats so good about ninja gaiden dragon sword... played the japanese and honestly... i dont like it... what do yall mean graphics are good... holding ds sideways is kinda uncomfortable and... stylus for attacks doesnt seem right cuz it misreads some commands...

To each his own, I suppose. I will say this, though, the game requires finesse. The controls are straight forward, but mastering them takes practice, otherwise you will definitely find yourself commanding Ryu to do all sorts of things you didn't intend.

As for holding the DS book-style, I love it, especially for this type of game.

And if you don't understand why the graphics are good, well...I don't think there's anything anyone could say to make you see that they are. Perhaps not your cup of tea. But I'd have no hesitation in saying that it offers the best visuals the DS has yet seen. There are other games that can compete, but Team Ninja went above and beyond with this package.

I hate bookstyle, because people will think i'm playing brain training. =X and that's for girls. =P

Surprisingly, most of the teens dislike ninja gaiden..... I've asked a lot of my friends about it (I'm still a teen you know), and so far, all of them (9 out of 9) didn't like it. I was the only one who liked it. It's surprising...

really? i dont believe it -.-

Ninja Gaiden= owns!!

It owns harder for players (like me) that enjoyed playing the NES version (I was like 5 years old xD), it's so cool to hear the "chapter"'s tune used in the NES' NG everytime you go into a new chapter!!

Could I use a Japanese save for a English game? Is that how it is for most games?

That seems to be the case. I would venture to say that it's highly likely you'll have no problem doing so, since the two versions of Dragon Sword were released side-by-side and are essentially the same, sans the language of the dialogue.

I'm planning on restarting regardless of whether I can use my save or not. I wanna see what's going on =P

Edit: Spelling error

Oh yeah. I definitely will be playing through it again (probably many times), but I'll probably still try to use my current Japanese sav file for the unlockables. I'll just start anew on another slot.

sad news ppl... the japanese game sold bad

let's hope it will sell better in america and europe caus this game definitly deserves a sequel
