I didn't have the rez spell issue, I'm using SuperCard DSTwo, and the restored arm7 patch, playing on 3DS.
I'm not at the casino yet, and I didn't try to do the dreamworld riddles either.

I am also using a DSTwo but getting the spell freeze. Can you point to the specific restored arm7 patch you used?

on the first post, there's a link to that patch.
it's in the troubleshot part : the game freeze when using sleepmode (when you close your console). don't you have that issue ?
the fix for DSTwo is to restore the original ARM7.bin file from the japanese game, instead of using the patched version from the english patch v1.0, you can do that either manually (use a NDS file explorer to replace it) or with a patch.

If you want t use the patch, use an original japanese ROM and apply the provided "restored arm7.bin patch" like you did with the v1.0, it'll patch the game in english except it will keep the original arm7.bin file.



for information, that game has multiple flashcart antipiracy (AP) detection, and the arm7.bin file has been patched to prevent some flashcart to be detected. but it's not working with all carts, some like DSTwo are even having issues with the AP patched. so, restoring an unpatched arm7 file helps for certain cases.

What I did :
when I got the magic wand (right away, on the same place I was, so in the king's room), press Y to go to magic menu. then go to magic list (NOT the free magic menu from the right).
click on all listed magic one by one and perform that move to unlock them all.
it didn't freeze.

I didn't try performing the move on the free move mode, nor trying to do it again somewhere else.

i used the Draw magic option on the right. I didn't try using the magic list. I'll try that way later.

users will see it's already reported. can you confirm this:

so far, progress blocking bug:
Issues
- In dream world: You can't give the correct answer. Misinterpreting the 0 for an O letter.
- the resurrection spell : Freeze. Only affected by certain flashcarts, or by original v1.0 patch.
- The exchange medals for prizes in Casino : Freeze. (only some flashcart too ?)

Solution:
current workaround is to transfer the savegame and do that part on the spanish or japanese ROM, then re-import the savegame to english game.
another solution can be to use an emulator, another flashcart, the original arm7 patch, and/or japanese ROM.
Note: Always keep a backup of your savegame whenever you can ! even if you never need to use another playing method, keep previous savegame files. In case the game has an unreported bug and you lose your current progress you won't have to restart the game from the beginning.


Is that fine? should I change or add other things? Maybe I'll put the savegame backup recommendation more visible.
Maybe I should separate the rez spell, saying it's never required in the game, it's only a fake spell? solution is to leave it alone.

The resurrection spell works just fine for me (ARM7 patch, playing on a New 3DS XL with a "R4i GOLD 3DS RTS" flashcart from r4ids.cn) so it's definitely not a universal problem. However, the casino prize redemption freezing and the "O" vs "0" failure in dreamworld still occur with my setup.

This has been discussed here before. It's a bug. The game misinterprets the 0 for an O or something like that.

I finished all the riddles in dream world, After that you fight him.

Also When you use Marble on imagen , the menu/options is not translated.

I'm currently early in the game, just reached Catnap Sewers and have encountered audio issues. I get constant speaker crackling, and it's not bad speakers on my phone, I've tried multiple headphones with the same problem. It started when I did the gate spell to go find the cat in the real world.

Fortunately, it seems to be only associated with the games music, so I can simply turn that down, but this games music is so fantastic!

I'm playing on paid Drastic on a Samsung Galaxy Note 9.

Seeing more and more people play the patch is fantastic and very exciting. Please keep sharing any issues, whether technical or textual, preferably with as much information as you can (flashcart/emulator, what menu, what location), but be mindful of other players and wrap potential spoilers in spoiler tags

I want to fix those 3 primary issues we're seeing now, the Dream World riddle, the Casino exchange and the resurrection rune freeze, although I can't say when we'd have that update, since freezes are weird, especially if they happen on some carts and not others. We'll also have to make sure we update both existing versions of the patch, I suppose, so that all existing save games can be reused. I am trying to get that ball rolling, however, and once that update comes out it should include a couple of other small textual fixes.

The Drastic music part sounds like an emulator settings thing rather than a rom/patch issue. I've had the same on Desmume on PC, but you could try messing around with some settings or googling the issue.

I'll add something to that :

adding a spoilertag is useless if you don't describe what it contains.
for example, it could be a spoil for the first hour of the game, or one of the ending.
without info, users will be tempted to look inside to see if it's a spoil for them or not.

As long as the sleepmode bug exists, I guess it's a good idea to release two different patches for next updates.

As a first solution try to change "Audio Latency". Low is for the best result but if that is already selected as low then try "Medium" or "High".

If that wont help then try this;

It seems this is happen due to using DraStic save function regularly. When you start hear crackling first, try saving your progress by using in-game save function. After that quit from the DraStic, then relaunch DraStic again but this time select "Countinue" on the game main menu rather than using DraStic quick load option. This should solve that issue.

Tried everything in this thread for running game on my R4SDHC card, it won't work with any combination of patches and updates of db.

Switched to unlaunch / hiyacfw and now version with stock arm7 seems to work well, at least for first 7 hours of in game progress with no flash card needed at all. Maybe moderators should put this as main troubleshooting method, since Chinese flashcards it not really that reliable, and some people do not track CFW progress of DSi.

I tried changing the latency and force quitting then restarting phone, to no avail .

What did fix the problem was unistalling Drastic and reinstalling and now it sounds fine. If it happens again, I'll try the saving and starting over through "continue".

I'm using a 3dsxL and i've tested the rom on desmune (pc) and it works fine (?)
So i guess it's something on the twilight menu but I dont have any idea.

Question: did anyone finish the game, is there a game plus mode? I find the battles too easy to be honest.
Also is there a list of items and where to find them? I need a lot of mats for the recipes.
