Otherwise R4i RTS is probably the best and should still be around $20.

thanks all! Yep i did do the full write over. still nothing so i ordered 2 of the gold R4's one for me and one for my daughter. Thank you everyone for the help! I really, really appreciate it!

Yup. Tried it on several microSD cards and it still doesn't work. Others have this issue as well.

I'll test it at some point in the next couple of days see what I can come up with I might be able to get AC:WW working, I came across 2 other games that had similar issues, Golden Sun Dark Dawn is one of them I won't boot properly on an 8GB microSDHC it just black screens when the microSDHC is formatted by the windows format utility, but if the full over overwrite option lets it play no problem. The same thing happens with Konami Arcade Hits Collection if it's on a 16GB microSDHC card that's been formatted by the windows utility, the game doesn't boot without having RTS turned off for that game specificaly or you can format the card with the Panasonic SD Formatter using the OverWrite Full option to fix the issue without turning off the RTS function.

We we're all in your shoes at one point or another. even if people don't admit it, everyone has been in this position, it's just the fact of the matter that who helps you out in the community, and if you strive long enough to reach your goal of accomplishing something while learning tricks from users of the same hardware or slightly similar hardware.

Edit: I have done a lot of work with homebrew and configuring these specific cards to work with things if there is anything you need drop me a pm, For example there are 2 kernels you can use one is a multimedia kernel that uses a customized version of moonshell but it has an older version of the Wood kernel.
I took the updated wood kernel from their newest Wood Kernel package and put it with the old multimedia kernel to be able to have the updated game fixes from the new wood kernel.

My wife likes the look of the multimedia kernel instead of just using the wood kernel and she doesn't have to go through Wood to access MoonShell to listen to music or watch a video, So I customized the multimedia kernel for her,

Choose the one that says R4i Gold 3DS RTS, it has great compatibility and works on almost all games except for Animal Crossing: Wild World. It should have a somewhat black reflective holographic sticker that says that and the website r4ids.cn

I've gotten it to work for ACWW.
I own the actual cartridge anyways, so I don't really play the ROM anyways.
