Hacking New Update!

Basically don't update for now if you use ironhax, as 10.4 now requires you to install a games update before letting you play the game, meaning it will not let you into the 1.0/1.1 version of ironfall. I don't yet know the status of menuhax and browserhax, but based on the amount of things that were changed they might be gone as well.
Also has anyone tested if Nintendo patched the kernel exploits that were in 10.3?

I also hope Nintendo realizes how much this affects even those who don't know about homebrew. Seriously, if the update thing applies to all games, you could have your 3ds detect an update while you are home, but you don't realize it and when you are away from home and want to play your game, you're SOL because nintendo won't let you play the game you legally own due to it not being updated. I sincerely hope they made it only for ironfall, because if this affects other games that's just stupid.

I was going to send in support tickets saying that my 3ds no longer has internet access, and neither does where i live or anywhere near there.

They made the change that blocked you from opening the game in 10.4, 10.3 is still fine.

Unless you get support by phone, if you submit a ticket online wouldn't that basically tell them you have internet

Browserhax still works on Old 3DS on 10.4

ironhax is still KIA on 10.4, browserhax on o3ds is still ok afaik, not sure about menuhax or n3ds browserhax.

In order for the 3ds to turn on, it has to be fully updated and you have to write a page-long love letter to reggie and sign it with the blood of smealum every other tuesday. Every time a new exploit is released do not pass GO.

I'd just throw it against the wall. Unless a 3DS is giving me blowjobs, I ain't writing a letter to nobody. 3DS ain't that damn amazing.

Just a heads up before you waste your time. I live in Argentina and when I first got my 3ds I had a horrible idea, I setted my NNID to my country and bought a copy of Pokémon. However latin american eshop at that time was horrible and didn't even had the Pokémon patch so I couldn't either play online or avoid the game-breaking lumiose city glitch. I emailed them and no, they don't give a fuck.
