And what if I don't need to downgrade?
Seriously what's with everyone here thinking that everyone has to downgrade?
If you have no interest in ever running CFW or getting a9lh on your 3DS then I suppose you don't need to downgrade.

And I already posted this in another thread but I might as well say it again:

CakesFW a9lh sysnand 10.7 works fine. NTR seems to work as well.

Because if you want homebrew and/or piracy, it's the choice that makes the most sense. When you downgrade, Nintendo can't stop you from using homebrew in a CFW environment. *hax is more for people who can't downgrade or don't want to like yourself, but you will always be very limited in what you can do with it, in terms of how large programs can be, how stable they'll be, and what type of service access they will have.

Right. I was just kind of annoyed at how people keep giving a seemingly simple solution at an issue they have no context of.
Also, I'm really stressed today, and I apologize.

Updated from 10.6 to 10.7 on a9lh+cakes+firm partition locking.
Still able to boot a9lh and I have access to the eShop.

To use HBL I renamed the 10.6 payload to reference 10.7.0-32. (as they work interchangeably)
