NsmB_PrO and ray present
New Super Hacker Bros.

This is special Hack of New Super Mario Bros. DS specialized on Texture-Editing. We have already put many things in our hack so far and we are still adding cool things!

For example (Texture Editing):
-We made tiles, where Mario/Luigi can go behind.
-We put a Shy-Guy in the game.
-Animated Waterfalls are also inclueded.
-There is also a rain-effect in some levels.
-The End-Of-Level-Castle from NSMB Wii.
-?-Blocks are From NSMB Wii.
-Many more things (bouncing jello, new Springboard graphics, and some more)

We also replace nearly ALL of the old NSMB DS Tilesets with the new NSMB Wii Tilesets. There are also new musics in the Hack. For example the "Bowsers Road"-Music or the "Dire Dire Docks"-Music. The levels are well designed and fun to play, but they are not easy. Sometimes it is a bit frustrating, because you will loose really often. There are almost no bugs in the game, but if there are some, we thank you for reporting them

At the time, we have released two Betas, but more will come soon. We have also a blog on Wordpress.com: New Super Hacker Bros.

The first beta goes to 1-4

The next will be to 2-4.

Download the nmp. patch from our homepage and then open a rom with the nsbm editor. Click on tools and then click on import patch. Choose the patch you've downloaded and import it. Or download the xDelta patch and import it with the xDelta patcher! Have fun!

I made a suitable design for a oasis level (rain + desert):
I inserted:
-Puddles in the desert
-Vertical Puddles
-Grass in the Dessert
-A Log Mario can climb
-Top of Plam Trees behave now the same as quicksand.

Yes, you're right. I (and I think NsmB_PrO, too) think, creativity is one of the most important aspect. Do the best with the things you have

Some cool hacks in a newbie looking level let it still not be good ^^

In my opinion a cool hacker team cosists of a Person, which is good in painting pictures and a person, which has creativity

If there is no editor, it is good to have a coder in the team as well a good "asm arm"-hacker

I don't think it needs more creativity, it seems to overflow with that, if anything it has so much creativity that it needs more organization. New Super Mario bros. 3 was really good but this creates entirely new levels, it's not quite as easy to make great levels when you already have the blueprint in a legendary game, and besides, the levels look very different, almost like a different game.

Did you even play SKJmin's hack? It seems not

That's true, every SMB3 level was rebuilded but every level on NSMB has an advanced map with "completly" new additions!
I don't know where it was, but he said the game was 30% remake, 70% new...

I played his hack, pretty hard and frustating, but he made pretty lot cool (and hard) secrets!
One of its seret was to collect all "normal" coins in a room and the enemy appeared... After beating the enemy I got the pipe appeared which lead you to the star coin!

Dammit

That's the reason why I think it's the best mario game ever!
The only macro is, that we can't fly in that game

I can't wait for his version 2.0 on the 16th this month!
Hope he will really release it
