Excellent choice. Destructobot is an extremely knowledgeable and helpful member of the community. He displays great patience with the younglings.

Congrats Destructo!

and congrats JPH! You've been doing a hell of a lot of work, and you should've gotten a tip o' the cap too.

Be very welcome Destructobot, I know someone who's really happy to see you promoted.

Who is next? The guessing games begin... NOW!
VVoltz!! VVoltz!! VVotlz!!

I hope you enjoy it.
I wouldn't be surprised if that happened... either him or that mysterious AntiVVoltz guy.

Thanks for the heads up guys. Maybe time will tell.
And yeah, the day I become a mod I'll be banning you all just for the sake of it.

LOL, I actually threatened mthr about banning him, off course I was kidding.

(Note very funny joke of course, imagine the poor soul that tries to take ON mthr, he would have ALL GBAtemp against him!

)

And about that antiVVoltz guy... I've heard he was plotting something in the limbo (AKA New Jersey)
Ban me and imma go ninja on your ass.

Can magazine staff even ban people? Or is it just mods and supervisors and admins?

Only supervisors and administrators can ban people or fiddle with their accounts (i.e. change the username). Magazine staff can only post news, and moderate posts and topics in the GBAtemp Magazine News subforums and the GBAtemp Magazine Reviews forum. Moderators and global moderators are the same, exept they also have authority over other specific forums or all forums, respectively.

(I think that's all correct, I haven't received my staff handbook in the mail yet.)

Edit: I can also post HTML, and edit my posts without them showing that they've been edited.

Quoted for truth.

Lol why put edit, when you can just pretend you never missed anything?

What is the point of the thing that shows that I edited my post? It's annoying...

And congrats on the promotion, destructobot!

i think you've all missed the most significant part of this news post - the gbatemp magazine staff all share one collective arse. surely a fascinating experiment in anal communism.

Actually, Magazine Staff members can't moderate posts in any forum (but get reported posts anyway

).
We can manage the Download Database, NDS/GBA/Wii Releases, post news on the portal and few other things.

Oh, and yeah, I never recieved my handbook either!

It's hard out here for a bitchboy :'(

HTML you say?
< HTML >
What's that?!< /HTML >

actually I'm able to suspend members (for 99999999+ days if I wanted to) so that's practically a ban

What about closing topics?

I'm restricted to a few areas but other members within my ranking have them covered.

(this also applies for editing thread titles, posts and deleting whole threads)
