From modded switch to buying switch 2 my 3 kids want to play online with friends each has got separate account but these are tied to one online account.
They want to play the new zelda OOT game coming out in November.
What membership is best for them to utilise the best from switch 2.
What are the games worth buying to keep for s2 or they are ok with s1 cartridges and get the updates online for s2.
what are must have accessories for switch 2.
They were using a wiiu pro controller on S1 to play games, they have got XB-x controllers which they can use.

There are two tiers of the NSO subscription. The regular one and the Expansion Pack.

Both tiers offer cloud saves and online play. They also give you access to retro games. The regular tier includes the following systems:

- Nintendo
- Super Nintendo
- Gameboy

The Expansion pack adds the following systems:

- Nintendo 64
- Gameboy Advance
- GameCube
- Sega Genesis

You get free access to some paid DLC like Mario Kart 8, Animal Crossing, or the Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom upgrades.

You also get access to some other perks, like the Nintendo Music app (Android and iOS).

But the absolutely best advice I can give you is to try and join a family plan. You see, Nintendo also offers the subscription as a family plan, with up to 8 members sharing the subscription. If you do it this way, you will only need to pay like $10 USD for the whole year. There are tons of persons here on Reddit creating their own family groups.

And if you are getting digitales games...

Read this thread: [https://www.reddit.com/r/NintendoSw...rstanding_virtual_game_cards_vgc_and_how_to/)

This will allow you to understand how Virtual Game Cards work and how to share the games.

Thanks for your advice.
The switch console in uk is serial number starting with HAE the first version, should i get that or the new version with serial number starting with HLE.( easy battery replacement)
The link you posted does not work can you please share again.

Since you have 3 different accounts, you are better off buying a family membership, regular or expansion pack depending on what you want.

3DS didn't use NSO and Nintendo has discontinued its online gaming services (except for redownloading, I think).

Ever since online transitioned into a paid subscription I stopped playing online on the Switch, I still do on Switch 2, but it's F2P games like Fall Guys (loads of fun).

NSO doesn't give you the option to share games. And GameShare on Switch 2 is pretty restrictive and only works with specific titles. If you're expecting to play the new Zelda game on multiple consoles at the same time just forget it. You can follow the primary and secondary console trick to get 2 consoles but that is the most consoles you would get the game running on at the same time.
