New RPG to be released to ipod touch and iphone

I'm not really fond of gaming with just a touchscreen.
I mean, the specs of for example the new iPhone, are totally awesome (good gfx card, dual core cpu, etc).
But gaming with just a touchscreen... naaaaaaah.

I'd rather have these companies concentrate on platforms like the DS or PSP, if they want to make handheld games.

Well the thing is, Square enix is trying to make money, so they have to make different games for different concoles

Do you guys remember that first "RPG" for the iPod before they got into the touch technologies? You'd make characters by 'importing' songs but it was all just random crap lol, I'm pretty sure it was Squenix though.

I'll probably never buy a new generation iPod, because I'd only use it for games, and there aren't many with decent value, but it's a shame when some decent looking ones slip under the radar because of it.

It's called Song Summoner. It was a turn based RPG (like final fantasy tactics), but aside from the song system the game wasn't that special.
You made characters by selecting a song in your ipod library. The cool thing about this was, the more you listened to the song, the more powerfull your warrior became. (and no, listening 1 second to a song and then restarting it didn't work).

Am I the only one, or do more people think this game looks a bit like final fantasy (at least has that feeling), and it has the same interface...

This looks pretty cool. As long as they don't muck it up with virtual buttons and just make it a pure touch controlled game (and for the love of god, don't include the accelerometor in any aspect of the game...PLEASE).

Doesn't look too bad, the only problem I have with it is that it's on the iPod/iPhone. Should've been on the DS, or at least the PSP.

Considering iPhone is more expansive than a PS3 slim (no real contracts here in Turkey) I'd rather buy a PS3 and FF XIII

Yeah, this actually looks quite good. I'm glad my little brother has an ipod touch.

Iphone gaming is huge so these companies should definately concentrate more on it, well I'm saying that just cause my iphone has completely replaced my DS lol *cough i mean ipod touch*
