Im starting to think that infolib.dat is not only a speedup of the rom loading times , but also a game booter
I cannot say for sure.... but I think that infolib.dat -CAN- play a part in defeating AntiPiracy.
If the AP prevents the game from loading at all, i.e. part of the AP in Assassin's Creed II: Discovery, it can bypass that section.
However for 99% of the AP out there, it's going to need to be handled by the extinfo.dat.

Hi all.

There is no "encrypted" ID. The ID is, apparently, a "special" AR CRC32. That is, the same algorithm that AR (and r4cee) uses but with the bytes [0x180-0x1FF] in header FORCED to 0x00 (Don´t ask me why, I don´t know). You can try it with an hexadecimal editor than can manage it, as example HexEdit:

Create a "custom CRC" using:
- width: 32 bits
- Polynomial: 4C11DB7
- Initial value: FFFFFFFF
- XOR out: 0
- Reflection: IN and OUT
(it´s like "standard" CRC32 in ZIP, RAR, etc, but XOR'ed with FFFFFFFF)

and apply to the first 512 bytes [0x000-0x1FF] of your ROM (= the header), with the bytes from offset 0x180 to 0x1FF changed to 0.

Also, you can get the ID creating a infolib entry for that particular ROM using the infolib_custom_kit_003.zip (http://boyakkey.cocolog-nifty.com/blog/2009/02/infolibdat003-2.html), with a google's traduction, patience and several attempts you´ll get it working.

Hope this helps.

Saludos.

I used eNDryptS Advanced to encrypt the roms http://www.no-intro.org/tools.htm , then use r4cee to get the gameID

And found out that the gameIDs then match the ones in infolib.dat , but decrypted one dose not...

TTDT would be easyer for you http://filetrip.net/f9925-DSTT-File-Editor-beta-1.html

I found i put in a code in infolib.dat for 4726 - Sonic Classic Collection (U)

GameID VSOE 2942C087

But left it with 0s

00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00

00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00

And the game booted passed the errorcode=-4 problem , but still remaind on two blank screens for now, but like you say mabe the extinfo.dat would play anuther part in the AP

Does it INSTANTLY give two black screens?
Or do you get an intro screen or Publisher Info screen first, then black screens?

Just black screens from start in black, if i use over codes from the infolib.dat into the game ID VSOE 2942C087 , sometimes white two screens

I get a very slight flicker befor blank

then its not working...
the first problem with sonic classic collection its that the firmware does not know how to boot the rom.
so adding the gameid into the infolib with only 0's it will try to start the game with that code sequence.
try by adding a old game's id that doesnt need a special boot sequence and fill it with 0's, it will boot and then give you white/black screens. so for your answer, no its not helping at all filling the boot sequence with 0's...

(by the way im just a newbie who was just BSing right there... but it just makes sense that it works that way...

So i wonder how to fined the code to make it boot, as infolib.dat has the same amount of 16 > 6 V lines for each game

6 V - 16 >

00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 24 A9 00 00 00 00 00 00
00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 C4 A9 00 00 E8 AA 00 00
30 AA 00 00 A0 AB 00 00 00 00 00 00 30 AC 00 00
CC AC 00 00 C0 AD 00 00 00 2D 07 00 FF FF FF FF
84 C2 06 00 FF FF FF FF 84 2E 07 00 FF FF FF FF
30 09 00 00 44 F0 00 00 FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF

Im trying old game codes in the new gameID, see if i have some luck!

Anyone knows if bejeweled has been fixed with the new release?
Can't check my NDS atm.
Gameid = 4644 - Bejeweled Twist (U)(BAHAMUT)

Thanks in advance

Old gameIDs would not work , you need the correct gameID and try using codes from over game IDs...

But like how many to try out lol!

This gameID VBTE F63EA785 Bejeweled Twist is not in them files and will not work...

what about the sonic ones? (

Er , nope...

I keep reloading hoping for that Pokemon HG patch

. Damn DSTT. Should'a bought Supercard instead now i can't find it anywhere.

Um, perhaps just search for the first bit of the gameID when looking, as I've noticed a lot of the CRC are different to the actual one of the game.

IE: Just search for VBTE for example, and not for the whole VBTE F63EA785.

Even if I did search, it would be of no use because:
1. I don't have the games
2. I can't test so it may be there, but it may not work.

Not downloading until it includes Jam Sessions 2 and Bejeweled Twist.

Or until it STOPS LYING about every ROM up until like 48XX working. Because it clearly doesn't include every ROM it says it does.
