I was going through 3ds.guide and noticed for 8.1.0 it requires a JPN copy of Cubic Ninja.
Also why I am asking is it says in the guide that updating from a cart isn't a big deal because it doesn't update sound or network features but right under it says that you won't be able to have soundhax work if you use a cart update.

I was curious if there is another way of getting homebrew access and if I needed to update to 9.x-11.x which ?
I normally figure it out, but sense the 8.1.0 process is different than the o3ds methods I am not familiar with any of the n3ds methods.
