I was hoping for something akin to the 16 bit update that was released on SNES/Genesis back in the day. Hell, why didn't they just port that? Maybe they have and I've forgotten about it. This game blows.

In this age of emulation saying you haven't played Pitfall is really stupid. We're talking less than a megabyte for an Atari 2600 emulator and every commercial ROM for the system. And most of all, Atari has made all Atari 2600 ROMs public domain.

I put a save game up at GBASaves.

Ready for the final boss or goto Options/Special at the title screen and select any level.

I'm not a great fan of platformers, but I like the animations in this one. Very nicely done. This game seems to be much better than the "old" Pitfall for GBA.

It's almost 20 years ago I played Pitfall II for the first time on C=64

- Humour is great
- Levels are in topdown, shootemup & platform
- Tends to get boring
- Animation is a bit slapstick and big/bulgy
- Characters have a good personality
- Junglesounds and atmosphere are very nice
- Backdrops are very detailed

PS:You can select special weapons with Left-button, hold the button longer in to shoot it in combination with the B button.
