If that Gremlins dump is included it will be complete BS. It's a damn redump and last I herd redumps didnt count in the list.

No mater how crapy or crusy the dump is the first dump of a game is the one that gets added to the list. all redumps do not count.

If redumps counted I would have alot of dumps in the list myself.

I and my roommate where also the ones to first dump Castlevania HoD USA version and it was excluded from the dump list being claimed as a "country dupe"

But we both know the real resion it got excluded is some scene lamer dump group (they know who they are) got pissed off cuz they got (J) and (E) dumps in and missed out on the (U) dump.

I mean theres TONS of country dupes in the list. They where all fine when a big "scene" group dumpes em but is pisses em right off if a small time ind group gets the drop on em.

If this Gremlins redump remains in the list then as far as i'm concerned some scene lamer has his pecker stuck up someone who is big in the scene and has power to make sure it is in the lists rear...

well thats my rant for the day. I call it "Hypocracy in the Scene"

I don't know what you're talking about, but heres some info that im not sure you're aware of:

Territory (ter) dupes are counted in the release list, although they aren't given any points in the GBA-Charts. This means that if a US and JAP version of a game are dumped on the same day, they are both counted. This is true for however many days it takes.

Bad Dumps are not counted in the list, but overdumps are. A redump of an overdumped file will not be counted (as the original works fine), but a redump of a non-working game will be added to the list as the 'latest'.

Your friend most likely wasn't excluded from the release list, only from scene rankings/points and topsites. You may mean that it was *nuked* for being a ter.dupe, but it will still be counted towards the romlist.

By referring to the 'scene', and referring to the term 'country (territory) dupe', it seems you have your wires crossed. The GBAROM 'scene' is different from the GBAROM list. Although they are both referred to as the 'scene' by individuals, they have no bearing on eachother, other than they are both focussed on the GBA.

Now, back to gremlins. If the first dump was 'broken' then the redump is legitimate and should be included. If the game was an overdump, the redump should NOT be included. If its a territory dupe then it should be included. Beta's are assigned to XXXX and aren't added to the main list, but are included as roms in the 'romset'. I'm not sure what the deal was with gremlins, so that will be all i care to say.

It looks like you're harboring harsh thoughts about the legitimacy of the 'scene' due to experiences which seem to be misinterpreted. Your friend most likely dumped the file onto a topsite he had access to, and the file was nuked for being a territory dupe. If it didnt make it off the topsite then chances are it wasn't a topsite, but an archive site where files are transfered to, and arent couriered off. If thats the case, he should re-release the file in his own name, by giving it to someone who has the access to have it added. If its too late, then too bad.

But then theres this. We dumped the (USA) version of Castlevania: HoD 2 days after Eurasia dumped the (Europe) version. We dumped it and sent it though a guy we know to have it submited as a release and it was accepted as so for about 24 hours then we got notice that it was nuked as a ter dupe. They called it lame bullshit to be exact. This was a while back so I dont recall who said nuke it but I belive he was affiliated with Eurasia.

The (USA) version is not included in any lists anywhere. I got these samples off pocketheavens lists.

I dont understand any resion based on what you said that out dump is not included in the lists as an un credited indipendent ter dupe like the rest of these examples where.
